Abbie Chatfield shares childhood ballet photo and campaigns to bring back Dancing With The Stars

‘I will bring back the ratings with my talent’: Abbie Chatfield urges Channel 10 to revive Dancing With The Stars as she shares a throwback photo of herself as a child ballerina

She’s shown off her racy dancing skills on social media in the past.

But it seems Abbie Chatfield wants to take her talents all the way to Dancing With The Stars.

On Tuesday, the 25-year-old shared a cute throwback photo of herself in a ballerina tutu and slippers on.

‘Can we start a change.org to get me into @dancingon10 because… the talent is there,’ she asked her followers in the caption.

‘Perhaps the star power is not, but how could you deny this pointed toe?’

Unfortunately, Dancing With The Stars was given the axe by Channel 10 last month – which the Bachelor In Paradise star appeared to not know.

Thankfully, a fan was quick to let her know the news, writing: ‘Pretty sure that shows been canned due to very poor ratings.’

But she wrote back: ‘I will bring back the ratings with my talent.’

While she won’t be hitting the dance floor to do a cha cha or fox trot any time soon, Abbie has shown fans her sensational dancing skills on Instagram.

This year’s final season saw comedian Celia Pacquola, 37, take the crown alongside her professional dance partner Jarryd Byrne.

Earlier this year, the coronavirus pandemic forced the show to be filmed without a studio audience for its later episodes.

While it wasn’t a ratings flop for Channel 10 – its 2020 finale was watched by a respectable 635,000 viewers – the numbers didn’t justify the budget required to produce a weekly live broadcast complete with celebrity salaries.
