Acne sufferer, 19, claims a £12.95 natural silver serum improved her skin in just THREE WEEKS

A fashion student whose acne became ‘redder’ and ‘angrier’ during lockdown has claimed a £12.95 natural silver serum helped to improve her skin in just three weeks.

Felicity Heavyside, 19, from Lancashire, whose insecurity about her skin got so bad she was unable to enter a room without checking her face in the mirror a few seconds before to make sure my makeup was still in place, first developed acne at the age of 14.

With several products on the market failing to make a difference, she finally found the answer in an unlikely solution – a natural serum, containing silver.

‘My skin became much less angry and sore,’ she explained. ‘The underlying redness and inflammation just kind of vanished. I still had spots but without the redness and they didn’t look as bad.’

‘Then slowly over the next 2-3 weeks the spots started to get smaller and disappear too.’

When Felicity first developed acne, she was at high school and thought it was just puberty and that she would grow out of it.

‘It got worse around the time of my period and I just thought that was normal,’ she explained. ‘I thought it would be around for about a year at most and never dreamed it would get as bad as it did.’

At first, she wasn’t bothered by it too much but when it started getting ‘really red’ and ‘looking angry,’ she started to feel ‘less confident’ in herself.

‘I’d look in the mirror and I didn’t like what I saw,’ explained the fashion student. ‘It was much worse than any of the acne of the other kids at school.

‘But it was lockdown that really caused my acne to explode. During the first six months of lockdown I had my worst experience with my acne ever.’

‘My skin became redder and got really angry. At some points it was actually sore to even touch.’

Felicity went on to say she tried most things you can imagine for her acne.

‘I’d use them and at first I’d see a small improvement and then inevitably they would stop working and my acne would be worse afterwards than it was before,’ she explained.

‘It’s the same with face masks. They worked for about two weeks and then started to make my skin worse.’

Having become so fed up with magical products promising to get rid of her acne and the fact that no shops were open, after lockdown kicked off she resorted to just using soap and water.

‘Needless to say this didn’t go well and my skin just went into meltdown,’ said Felicity. ‘Before lockdown I would try and cover my acne with makeup which didn’t really work.

‘My insecurity about my skin got so bad that I was unable to enter a room without checking my skin in the mirror a few seconds before to make sure my makeup was still in place.’

‘I thought that lockdown would improve my acne as I was wearing no makeup as I was in the house all the time, but this was not the case.’

She went on to say how people can’t help making comments when you have acne.

‘They’re always suggesting this product or that product or asking questions about what I am doing or not doing to my skin, not really thinking that, of course, I have tried almost everything and am doing everything I possibly can,’ she continued.

‘People don’t mean any harm but it’s the assumption that I somehow might not have realised how bad my skin is or that I am not looking after it.’

‘I know they are just trying to help but people mentioning it and looking at it is enough to make you feel really insecure as it’s confirming every acne sufferers biggest fear, that everyone really does notice it.’

Felicity says she’s spent the last few years avoiding photographs as she doesn’t like how she feel about herself when she sees her skin.

‘As a fashion student this is not ideal as, of course, photos are important as I’m always making clothes and like to see how they look on me in photos,’ she explained.

How does Silver serum work?

– Silver Serum is designed to remain active on the skin for several hours after application, so keeping acne lesions constantly guarded against becoming populated with bad skin bacteria

– MicroSilver ™ has been found in two studies to reduce inflammation and infection in skin lesions.

– It was found to be effective at reducing the severity and symptoms of skin infection in 70% of patients after a two-week trial period

– In a longer trial involving patients with severe skin infection, 93% were able to come off other medicated treatments after applying MicroSilver ™ to their infected skin

‘After my skin erupted over lockdown I had more or less given up trying to fix my acne as it was exhausting and expensive trying endless new products that delivered no results.’

‘I’d get my hopes up only to be disappointed, again.’

However, she went on to say how her mum found the first thing that has ever actually had a significant effect on her acne.

‘She read about Clarol Silver Serum in a magazine and was convinced it was something that would help me as she said it worked in a different way to the other acne products I had been trying and built up good skin bacteria at the same time as killing off the acne bacteria,’ explained Felicity.

‘She ignored my doubts and ordered some and encouraged me to at least try it.’

She continued: ‘Over the first two weeks of using the Serum my skin actually got worse rather than better and I was totally fed up.

It was at this point that I really felt like giving up but I had read a lot of reviews on the Silver Serum and loads of people were saying that this happened in the first 1-2 weeks.’

It convinced me enough to carry on and I am so glad I did. After two weeks my skin started to really improve.’

Felicity says the first big improvement she saw was after approximately three weeks, adding that it’s been two months now using the product and her skin is the ‘best it’s been for six years.’

She continued: ‘It’s not totally clear, yet, but it’s a million times better than it was. I hardly dare believe that I have not really had a bad break out in this time and my skin just seems to be getting better and clearer each week.’

‘I’m still in some degree of disbelief as I keep waiting for some horrible break out to emerge and my skin to go back to how it was at the start of this year. But it hasn’t.

‘It’s not just the acne that has improved so much, but the quality and smoothness of my skin is so much better than it’s been in such a long time. It feels like it’s finally healing and my confidence is slowly returning.’

‘I’m so glad my Mum stumbled upon this product as it’s honestly been the best thing by far I’ve ever tried for my acne and it seems, so far, to have more or less cleared my skin.’
