Amy Schumer poked fun at her parenting strategies in a goofy new Instagram Monday.
The stand-up comic, 39, mocked herself for how much screen time her 20-month-old son Gene has been getting by pretending to be a more disciplined version of herself.
Speaking in a serene voice, Amy told her some 10.3million followers: ‘Everybody has different rules and it’s all about what works for you, so we decided to do no screen time at all for our son.’

‘…And just guide him more towards things like adorable books,’ she went on, smiling and holding up the children’s classic Goodnight Moon.
‘Yeah so every family’s different but we just don’t believe in screen-time,’ she said, trailing off and pivoting her phone to film Gene.
The illusion of perfect parenting was shattered as her little dude stood up in the middle of the room with his eyes fixed at something outside of the frame – presumably a TV.

He seemed mesmerized by the screen, barely moving as his mom asked: ‘Gene you wanna read a book? A book?’
It was then that Amy broke character, fessing up and saying: ‘I mean, we let him watch a lot of TV.’
Though the mother-of-one is an expert at self-deprecating humor, her jokes recently got her into a bit of hot water with fellow celeb Hilaria Baldwin.

Last month Schumer mocked the yogi wife of Alec Baldwin in a now-deleted Instagram photo.
Making a playful nod at the recent scandal around Baldwin’s heritage, she wrote: ‘I get it. I went to Spain a couple times and loved it too.’
The I Feel Pretty actress included a cucumber emoji, in reference to a video of Alec Baldwin’s wife claiming not to know the English word for the plant.

Amy’s teasing came following online allegations that Hilaria faked her Spanish accent, while pretending to be from Majorca, Spain, when she’s actually from Boston.
The social media frenzy began with a tweet that read: ‘You have to admire Hilaria Baldwin’s commitment to her decade long grift where she impersonates a Spanish person.’
Baldwin has since responded to accusations that she ‘faked’ her Spanish accent and heritage, as she posted a video to Instagram, stating: ‘Yes, I am a white girl. I am a white girl.’
Schumer previously shared a photo of Hilaria showing off her tight abs in some black underwear, while holding newborn baby boy Eduardo, jokingly captioning the snap: ‘Gene and I wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday season. Enjoy it with whatever family members are talking to you this year.’

Baldwin later posted a video to Instagram, defending herself against trolls in the comments: ‘I’ve posted a million photos like that in the past. Didn’t think it was going to be a big deal. Ended up being a big deal.’
She added: ‘If you’re doing body inclusivity, that’s body inclusivity for all. There’s that whole thing of “oh moms don’t look like that.” Some moms do. This mom does. And I am included in the inclusivity.’
‘I’m sorry!’ Amy commented after deleting the original post, as Hilaria responded: ‘@amyschumer Girl, don’t even apologize! You always make me laugh. My only intentions were to address some of the the not so namaste behaviour some people went running wild with after. You don’t need to take responsibility for their actions.
