Channel 10 will go ahead with a second season of The Cube, presumably with Andy as host – meaning he’ll be working for two rival networks.

The Nine Network is where Andy’s former comedy partner Hamish Blake has had success with the mega-hit Lego Masters.

Nine hasn’t officially made comment but Andy recently let slip details of the project to The Sydney Morning Herald.

‘We started off with just kind of a stats-based show, and we turned it into a comedy panel show,’ Andy said of the format.

The funnyman added it was a way to see what Australia was ‘doing and feeling’.

‘Whether it’s a topic of the week that’s kind of gripped the nation and we can find out what Australia really thinks of it, or whether it’s just the way we perceive ourselves.’

It was reported that 100 Australians will be part of the episode.

Andy hosted the first season of The Cube Australia this year, which was broadcast on Ten in February.

Channel Ten has made no comment on Andy’s possible departure from the network.

Despite the show gaining a premiere high of more than 500,000 viewers, it quickly dipped to just 300,000 viewers as the season continued.
