Angela Bishop is one of Australia’s top entertainment reporters.
And while she has covered red carpets for years, she believes she has one trick in her book that will always make celebrities want to speak to her.
During a candid chat with podcast, From the Newsroom, the 53-year-old revealed she keeps a patriotic prop nearby.

‘One of the other things I’ve found most successful over the years, and it sounds silly, is that if I wave an Australian flag that I take with me to these red carpets,’ she admitted.
‘For starters you attract all the Australians that you want to speak to because they see it out of the corner of their eye and are immediately drawn to it,’ she explained.
However the Channel 10 entertainment journalist added international celebrities who love Australia also feel more inclined to open up to her on red carpets.
In the past she even used it during events like the Oscars, where she’s met the biggest of A-Listers.

‘I just say ”Australia” and someone like Helen Mirren will wander over because she just likes the place,’ she said.
In February, the esteemed media personality shared a throwback photograph which stunned fans as she still appears to be ageless.
She cheekily captioned the photo: ‘Here’s a recent photo of me and my next interviewee: the one and only @alicecooper.’
In the past, Angela has revealed she’s conscious about what she puts in her body which could be the secret to her youthful visage.

Speaking on Studio 10, Angela said: ‘I gave up my sugar-free energy drink addiction.’
She added: ‘I was drinking between 2-3 cans a day and changing absolutely nothing else about my diet, I’ve lost two kilos in three and a half weeks’.
Angela went on to admit she’d had a terrible time giving up the daily habit, but felt ‘great’ as time passed.
