Ant McPartlin and girlfriend Anne Marie Corbett take their three dogs for a walk

He has been preparing for the first ever UK version of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! with co-host Dec Donnelly.

But Ant McPartlin was enjoying some home comforts as he and girlfriend Anne Marie Corbett took their three dogs for a walk near their London home on Thursday.

The presenter, 44, bundled up in the cool autumnal weather, wearing a black raincoat over a simple white T-shirt while squinting from the bright sunshine.

He paired his comfortable outfit with dark blue jeans and a pair of sturdy brown walking boats as he walked through the grass.

Ant was joined by his chocolate Labrador Hurley – who he co-owns with ex-wife Lisa Armstrong – and two puppies Milo and Bumble, which he shares with Anne, in the park.

His girlfriend, 43, linked arms with the TV star and chatted to him as they walked their three dogs.

She donned a knee-length army green padded coat and tucked her jeans into her brown boots to stop them getting muddy.

The blonde tied her hair back off her face and wore a stylish set of aviators with her cosy attire.

Anne Marie paused to bend down and pat one of the puppies, who are a cross between Maltese terriers and poodles, seemingly not in a rush during their afternoon stroll.

Ant has been busy working with his TV partner Dec Donnelly at the show’s new filming location Gwrych Castle in Abergele.

The I’m A Celeb team have not only been battling against severe weather at the new site but also the new lockdown rules for Wales.

The ITV show, fronted by Ant and Dec, is normally filmed in a tropical jungle in Australia but it has been switched to a castle in Conwy, North Wales, because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

But the local lockdown rules are being replaced by new national firebreak restrictions from 6pm on October 23 in Wales.

The strict rules mean that people are not able to leave or enter the Conwy County Borough area without a reasonable excuse.

Residents can also no longer form or be in an extended household, or a bubble, according to the Government website.

It was revealed that the TV crews working on the new series of I’m A Celebrity are kitted out with ‘proximity monitors’ so they don’t get closer than two metres to each other.

ITV Studios entertainment director Richard Cowles said earlier this week: ‘On a Covid level, everyone’s got proximity monitors on them so basically they can’t come within two metres of each other without it buzzing and flashing and reminding them to step away.’

He told a Royal Television Society virtual event: ‘The key thing is we create the safest possible workplace for crew, cast and our hosts.’

The 20th series of the show is set to be screened next month – after Wales emerges from its circuit-breaker lockdown.

Mr Cowles also said the show will be edited in London so that there are less people who could ‘potentially spread Covid’.

He continued: ‘It isn’t easy but the good thing about reality shows and shows where you put the cast in a bubble is that you can put them in a space where they can be reasonably sealed from outside interaction.

‘There’s adaptability within the format and as long as you can get the off screen stuff right and keep that Covid safe, there’s opportunity for everyone here.’

ITV bosses remain confident that despite Wales going into full lockdown again, the show will go ahead as planned.

An ITV spokesman said: ‘I’m A Celebrity continues to adhere to all relevant guidelines as well as our own strict Covid protocols.’
