Are Crocs officially cool? Pip Edwards and Martha Kalifatidis officially embrace the foam clog

Are Crocs officially cool? Bondi trendsetter Pip Edwards embraces the ‘comfy’ foam clogs – just one week after Martha Kalifatidis flaunted her own trendy custom pair

She’s the Bondi influencer and P.E Nation designer who rarely puts a foot out of line when it comes to fashion.

And on Wednesday, Pip Edwards revealed she had fallen in love with her own pair of custom made Crocs, alongside an image of the divisive foam clog.

‘Yep, I’m doing it,’ she said of the ‘comfy’ footwear, which has often been mocked in the past due to its quirky design.

The 41-year-old’s shoe featured a number of cartoon characters planted on the front, including Looney Tunes favourite Bugs Bunny.

Pip – who was recently rumoured to be reuniting with her ex-boyfriend Michael Clarke – chose an eye-catching lilac colour for her footwear, and donned no socks as she posed in the shoes on Instagram.

Her photo comes just days after fellow Bondi beauty Martha Kalifatidis, 32, shared her own custom-made design – adorned with a few personal charms – on social media.

In the videos, the Married At First Sight star explained the meaning behind the custom adornments, with one of the shoes representing her, and the other her boyfriend, Michael Brunelli.

‘I did an MB for Michael Brunelli and an MK, and I have the lock and the key,’ she said, with the lock on Michael’s side and the key on hers.

‘I really like the cactus, because Michael can be a pr**k sometimes,’ she then said, pointing to the green charm.

‘I also gave him some chill pills because he needs to chill,’ Martha explained, before pointing out a camera charm.

‘Obviously a camera for me, because I take selfies, and an alien, because you know, I’m out of this world,’ she continued.

‘And a gummy bear, because they’re my favourite lollies in the world,’ she went on, adding, ‘Anyway I am obsessed with them!’
