Bebe Rexha set to make her live-action feature film acting debut with STXFilms’ Queenpins with Kristen Bell and Vince Vaughn

Bebe Rexha is making the transition from the soundstage to the movie set, making her live-action feature film acting debut on STXFilms’ Queenpins.

The 31-year-old singer voiced Tuesday in STXFilms’ 2019 animated feature Uglydolls, but now she will star in this new female-driven comedy, based on a true story.

She’ll star alongside Kristen Bell, Vince Vaughn, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Paul Walter Hauser.

The story will follow a suburban housewife who gets, ‘fed up with being overlooked and dismissed by her husband and society.’

She decides to take back control in her life by creating an illegal coupon club that pilfers millions of dollars from food companies and offers deals to millions of coupon clippers.

STXFilms Motion Picture Group chairman Adam Fogelson announced the project on Wednesday, with a statement revealing Rexha’s character.

‘This is a perfect film for Bebe to be making her live-action film debut,’ Fogelson began his statement.

‘She’s an incredible talent and international superstar and we love her for this role as Tempe Tina, an eccentric computer hacker who helps our heroines with their coupon scam,’ he added.

‘We know she will add so much fun, talent and personality to this cast,’ Fogelson concluded.

Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly (Beneath the Harvest Sky) will write and direct Queenpins, which is produced by AGC Studios, Marquee Entertainment and Red Hour Films. 

Linda McDonough will produce for AGC alongside Red Hour’s Nicky Weinstock, with McDonough developing the project under her Marquee Entertainment banner prior to joining AGC earlier this year.

AGC Studios Chairman Stuart Ford and Miguel A. Palos, Jr. will executive produce alongside Ben Stiller and Breean Solberg of Red Hour.

Patricia Braga is overseeing the project for STXfilms.

Rexha released her new song Baby, I’m Jealous, featuring Doja Cat, which will be the lead single from her forthcoming second studio album.

While the album doesn’t have a title or a release date yet, she teased in January the album explores her ‘mental health journey.’
