Police issue urgent appeal to find missing schoolgirl, 12, who has not been seen since Tuesday morning

  • Schoolgirl Rayah Fathallah, 12, has not been seen since 7.30am on Tuesday
  • Police believe she may be in Leighton Buzzard trying to travel to south London
  • Rayah previously went missing in November and was found safe a week later

Two police forces have launched an urgent appeal to find a missing schoolgirl who may have travelled 80 miles to from her home into London.

Rayah Fathallah, 12, was last seen on Tuesday morning, in the village of Heath and Reach, near Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire.

But it is believed she may have tried to get to Croydon in south London, which the force says she has links to.

A public appeal describes Rayah as 5’2’’, of a slim build, with long black curly hair, and was last seen wearing a black coat.

Rayah was also reported as missing from her Bedfordshire home in November, with police that time suggesting she had taken a train to London.

After growing ‘increasingly concerned’ for her safety, she was found safe and well eight days later.

It is not known whether she was found in Croydon or Bedfordshire.

Both Metropolitan and Bedfordshire Police forces have been approached for comment.
