Bethany, who famously survived a brutal shark attack while took her left arm in 2003, went on to say: ‘It’s an amazing blessing, the birthing process and the miracle of life that God has given.

‘We are humbled and thankful that we get another opportunity to raise a son in his faith. Hopefully we can be good examples and love on him.’

The pro surfer and husband of six-years Adam Dirks announced they were expecting back in October of 2020.

‘I love my two little guys, they are such a joy in my life, but I am also really excited to keep pushing my surfing.

‘It’s been an incredible journey to try to balance the two, really putting motherhood first but still be able to push my surfing.

‘I started working on my fitness when my youngest … turned two months old. I worked with a trainer to just kind of ease my body back into it.’

And Bethany is already anxious to get back into the water following Micah’s birth.

In a February 10th Instagram post, days ahead of his birth, she admitted she was ‘literally counting down the days, maybe 6-8weeks or so, till I can get back on my board and surf!’

‘Excited to keep the momentum going and have fun in the ocean!’ she added at the time. ‘But first… have this baby, enjoy baby and then bring baby to the beach haha.’
