Bow Wow says he was blamed for packed Houston concert because Mayor Sylvester Turner ‘hates my guts’

Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta producer-star Bow Wow responded to backlash after hosting club promoter Larry Morrow’s packed, unmasked birthday concert at Houston nightclub Clé last Friday night.

‘Safe to say the mayor of Houston hates my guts. I cant believe I get the blame for a whole weekend. This is ridiculous,’ the Ohio-born 33-year-old – who boasts 15.5M social media followers – tweeted on Monday.

‘Someone tell the Mayor of Houston TX I’m leaving right now. Geeeez! He singling me out as if I was the only celeb here this weekend. This is ridiculous.’

Bow Wow (born Shad Moss) was referring to Meek Mill, Mr. Rugs, Kenny Burns, J. Prince Jr., Trey Songz, and Fabolous who were headlining weekend-long events.

But before The Masked Singer runner-up left town, he spent Sunday partying at a mask-free outdoor bash where a woman poured Don Julio tequila down his throat.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner – who spent Monday at MacGregor Park in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday – said he does not ‘dislike’ Bow Wow.

‘While the city is in the midst of this pandemic nearly 2000 infected and 17 dying yesterday, this is not the time for concerts,’ the 66-year-old politician tweeted on Monday.
