Britney Spears’ makeup artist says she would have had a baby if not for her conservatorship

Britney Spears’ makeup artist Maxi claims that her ongoing conservatorship prevents the singer from getting married and even having a child.

Maxi spoke about his client on an episode of the podcast Calababes that was streamed live on YouTube on Thursday.

According to him, the 38-year-old pop star has little autonomy over her personal and romantic life with her 26-year-old boyfriend Sam Asghari.

Restricted: Britney Spears, 38, would like to marry her boyfriend Sam Asghari, 26, and have a baby with him, her makeup artist Maxi claimed Thursday on the Calababes podcast; shown in July 2019

‘I can tell you what they’re still controlling to this day is whether she has a baby or not, whether she gets married or not, who her friends are, and those are some big things,’ Maxi claims, according to US Weekly.

‘We’re talking about some Handmaid’s Tale–type  things to keep her from having a baby. Like, we’re talking … I can’t detail it and I’m not gonna specifically say, but I will say for sure, she would’ve had a baby by now. She would’ve probably been married to Sam by now. She would have groups of friends around her.’

Although the artist claims to be good friends with Sam, he claimed that much of his knowledge came from overhearing things while in Britney’s presence.

He also said that Sam wasn’t able to talk about much of his relationship due to a non-disclosure agreement, though he had divulged details that were outside its scope.

He also expressed some hope for the Toxic singer, calling her situation ‘sad’ but ‘getting better,’ which he attributed to her gaining more control over her social media presence.

Maxi alleged that Britney’s father Jamie Spears, who leads her conservatorship, had initially had an icy relationship with her boyfriend, who started dating her in 2016.

‘At that time, she was under the conservatorship basically controlled by the father, but even at that time she was able to bring in Sam as a boyfriend,’ he claimed.

‘Now Sam was put through hell by the father and I can’t detail all the things that he went through, but he went through a lot of hell to even be with her.’

Maxi also cleared up some details about Sam, who’s often referred to as a model, instead claiming that Sam is an actor who has only modeled on the side.

The cosmetician hinted that Britney’s inability to marry Sam may have been related to her father’s control of her finances, as he claimed that both of her ex-husbands had received money.

Britney has been under the rule of her conservatorship since February 2008, when she suffered a widely publicized mental breakdown.

Earlier this year, her attorney argued against having her father Jamie resume control of the conservatorship, after he stepped down and was temporarily replaced by her care manager Jodi Montgomery.

The singer is hoping to have Montgomery take control of her care permanently, while she wants a corporate fiduciary to watch over her financial matters in place of her father.

Although Britney might be hoping for a new child, she already has two children with her ex-husband Kevin Federline: Sean, 15, and Jayden, 14.

She began dating the dancer in July 2004, but she filed for divorce in November 2006, and the divorce was finalized the following year.
