Brooklyn Beckham and fiancée Nicola Peltz are ‘in line to tie the knot at St Paul’s Cathedral’

Brooklyn Beckham could reportedly be set to wed his fiancée Nicola Peltz at St Paul’s Cathedral, according to the Sun.

The 21-year-old photographer’s parents David, 45, and Victoria, 46, are able to request to hold Brooklyn’s marriage at the iconic landmark due to their OBE status.

Choosing the London cathedral as the couple’s wedding venue comes with a price however, as they would have to wait until 2022 due to a long waiting list.

Brooklyn and his bride-to-be Nicola, 25, would be following in the footsteps of Prince Charles and Diana Spencer who married there in 1981, shunning the traditional West Minster Abbey.  

A source told the publication: ‘David and Victoria are aware Brooklyn can get married at St Paul’s. They are overseeing their British wedding and want to make sure it has the wow factor for Nicola’s family.

‘If they went ahead, the wedding would have real gravitas and set the benchmark for what comes later in America. Brooklyn and Nicola are weighing up their options.’

The ceremony would be traditional and has to include at least one Bible reading, while any sort of contemporary music would be off the cards.  

Wedding ceremonies are held in the Chapel of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in the crypt, and applications have to be passed by the Archbishop of Canterbury. 

The publication reported that the basic cost of a wedding at the cathedral would be more than £5,000, as the ceremony alone costs £3,240.

This comes following reports that Brooklyn and Nicola are actually already married, as he continued to fuel speculation by wearing what many thought to be a wedding band.

His mother Victoria uploaded a snap of her son alongside his younger brother Cruz, 15, with a gold ring visible on his wedding finger.

The snap further fuelled rumours that the couple, who announced their engagement last month, have already tied the knot in secret after fans recently thought they were married following another social media post. 

Victoria captioned the image with a gushing tribute to her sons, writing: ‘Love u so much @brooklynbeckham @cruzbeckham X @nicolaannepeltz X’. 

The post was quickly inundated with comments from curious fans who wanted to know if the couple were already married.

One user wrote: ‘Is Brooklyn married already?’ while another said: ‘Ooooh that’s a wedding ring!’

Another fan added: ‘Did they get married?’ and another said: ‘Aww deffo a wedding ring I see’.   

Brooklyn opted for a laid back look in the snap, sporting a white T-shirt with a navy cap and a pair of shades.

MailOnline contacted a representative for Brooklyn for comment at the time.

The actress and the aspiring photographer set tongues wagging over the weekend when Nicola posted a cryptic snap of her husband-to-be wearing the same gold band on his ring finger.

And a friend of the Transformers star sent the rumour mill into overdrive, when commenting underneath her latest photo shared on Brooklyn’s Instagram account on Sunday.

Brooklyn took to the image-sharing platform to upload a snap of his fiancée posing in a black nightie.

And while he kept his caption simple, adding just a love heart-eyed emoji, his friend Leon ‘Starino’ Anderson raised eyebrows as he referred to her as ‘Mrs Beckham’.

Nicola sparked speculation on whether she and Brooklyn have already exchanged nuptials, when she shared a cryptic snap of a gold ring on his finger.

The image, shared to Nicola’s Instagram Stories on Friday, showed the couple clutching a label, with Brooklyn sporting a gold band on his left hand.

Brooklyn’s distinctive tattoos could be seen on his hand, including ‘1974’, which is the birth year of his mother Victoria, while the number ‘7’ represents dad David’s football shirt number he wore while playing for Manchester United.

The American actress didn’t leave a caption on her intriguing image, leaving fans to guess whether they had tied the knot. 

Since their engagement, Nicola has been proudly flaunting her stunning £350,000 ring as she steps out around London.

However it was her large glittering rock which commanded attention, with Nicola making sure to keep her other accessories to a minimum as to not distract from it.

Amid the speculations, there are still preparations underway for a huge wedding celebration, with Nicola’s billionaire father Nelson Peltz expected to be paying for the wedding with Brooklyn’s parents also wanting to ‘contribute’.

Brooklyn is said to have told pals that the ceremony will involve marrying under a chuppah (wedding canopy) and signing a ketubah (wedding contract) as both Brooklyn’s great grandfather and Nicola’s billionaire father are Jewish.

A source told The Mirror: ‘Nicola was raised in a Jewish household and while her mother Claudia isn’t Jewish, her father Nelson is devout. They raised their children to uphold traditional Jewish values…

‘When they ­started talking about their future, Brooklyn agreed to a Jewish wedding. While it won’t be orthodox, or super religious, it will likely contain ­traditional elements.’

Brooklyn and Nicola are thought to be planning to splash out £4 million on two different ceremonies to mark their marriage in 2021.

The nuptials are said to be taking place in both the UK and Florida, with the couple allegedly expected to sign pre-nups at the behest of Nicola’s father, Nelson, who is said to be worth £1.34 billion.

The source added: ‘They’re not sure if they’ll have a rabbi conduct both ceremonies, but Brooklyn has already told Nicola he’ll let her take the reins – joking how he’s already under the thumb.’

It is thought that Brooklyn’s footballing father David, 45, is also enthusiastic about the prospect and hopes to recite one of the Hebrew blessings at the ceremony.

Sources have claimed Brooklyn’s little sister, Harper, nine, will be ‘chief bridesmaid’, while his brothers Romeo, 17, and Cruz, will act as his ‘ushers’.

Victoria, 46, who has a net worth of £335 million alongside husband David, is rumoured to be designing one of her future daughter-in-law’s wedding dresses.

Brooklyn took to Instagram in July to announce his engagement to Nicola following reports he had popped the question to his ‘soulmate’ after just eight months of dating.

Sharing a stunning snap of the couple, he wrote ‘Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes xx

‘I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day. I love you baby xx.’
