Candice Warner reveals she maintains a ‘strict routine’ for her daughters

‘I am pretty much a single mother’: Candice Warner reveals she maintains a ‘strict routine’ for her daughters while cricketer husband David is away

Candice Warner has revealed she maintains a ‘strict routine’ for her three daughters while her husband David is away playing cricket around the world.

The 35-year-old explained to The Daily Telegraph on Thursday: ‘I feel like I need to be, I need to have my kids in that routine and be strict because a lot of the time my husband is away and I am pretty much a single mother.’

The former ironwoman went on to say having a routine helps her balance life with her daughters, Ivy Mae, six, Indi Rae, four and Isla Rose, one.

‘For me, being organised so the kids know when dinner is, bath, book, bed, it just works for us. It is not for everyone but for me, I have found that is what works best,’ she told the publication.

Candice also revealed the couple will not be adding to their brood anytime soon.

‘I always thought that I would like four but now having three and being on my own, it has its challenges and I don’t want to get to the point where I take my exhaustion or frustration out on my kids,’ she said.

Candice’s discussion about motherhood comes after she was recently forced to revisit the 2007 ‘toilet tryst’ with Sonny Bill Williams during an interrogation on Monday night’s SAS Australia.

She admitted to the Directing Staff: ‘In my early 20s I made a very big mistake. It is something I am not proud of but something I can never take back.

‘I put myself in a situation where I shouldn’t have and because of that I brought embarrassment, shame to my family.’

The now-infamous meeting between Candice and New Zealand All Blacks star Sonny occurred 13 years ago, years before she met her now-husband David Warner.

The pair were photographed in a compromising position inside a toilet at the Clovelly Hotel in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

In 2018, Candice apologised to Sonny and his family after their ‘toilet tryst’ was dredged up in the media.
