She continued: ‘Your dance moves can be questionable at times but one thing that can’t be questioned is the love you have for your friends and family. You are an incredible father and husband first and foremost.’

‘It doesn’t matter where you are in the world or what you are doing, you always put everyone else before you. You have a heart of gold and your smile lights up every room you walk into,’ Candice said.

She went on to say it’s ‘a strange feeling’ having spent many months apart while she filmed Channel Seven’s SAS Australia.

Candice’s post comes after she was grilled about her party-girl past a during a tense interrogation on Monday night’s episode of SAS Australia.

The WAG became visibly angered as she recounted South African fans wearing masks featuring Sonny Bill’s face in an attempt to further humiliate her.

The masks were a reference to the 2007 incident in which Candice and Sonny were photographed being intimate inside a toilet at the Clovelly Hotel in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Candice told the show’s interrogators: ‘There were incidents in South Africa where people were trying to make fun of me, mock me, belittle me in front of my family because of an incident that happened in the past. And that they think that’s funny.’

Asked to elaborate on the fling with Sonny, Candice snapped: ‘It was just a bad mistake. I don’t want to talk about it.’

She was slightly more open during an on-camera interview prior to the interrogation, saying of the toilet tryst: ‘In my early 20s I made a very big mistake. It is something I am not proud of but something I can never take back.

‘I put myself in a situation where I shouldn’t have and because of that I brought embarrassment, shame to my family.’
