A TikTok famous couple who were left ‘creeped out’ after receiving dozens of anonymous gifts to their home address accompanied with a note saying ‘I will always win’ discovered the fan who was sending the unwarranted items was their own friend and page moderator on tonight’s Catfish UK.
Cole, 29, and Abbie, 31, from Dunfries in Scotland started making TikTok videos under the username cole_abbie in lockdown and have since racked up nearly a million followers on TikTok and Instagram.
As their success grew, people set up fan pages for the pair, with the couple – who have two children together – receiving daily gifts and messages from an infatuated fan which made them uneasy.

Scared of the overly personal gifts, the couple – who also run a barber shop – asked Catfish hosts Julie Adenuga and Oobah Butler for help finding the fan in tonight’s episode of the hit MTV show.
‘Recently we’ve been getting really creepy gifts from an anonymous fan page, there’s been so many recently, including big bunches of flowers, balloons, pictures with our wedding day pictures,’ Abbie explained to Julie and Oobah.
‘They know where we stay but who to do they know – do they know us?’ she added.
Explaining how the gifts were affecting their family, she added: ‘I’m watching a little bit of my wife fade away every day, and they are leaving no trail they’ve not tripped up once’.
‘It might seem nice to get gifts,’ Cole added, ‘But when it’s coming to your home address with a note saying ‘” will always win” it’s not nice.
‘The whole thing is starting to freak me out, it’s taking it’s toll on out marriage, i’m an breaking point’.

‘We’ve got no idea who’s sending any of these gifts, they’re literally leaving us with no trail. It’s destroying me’.
Determined to help find the follower, Oobah and Julie examined the fan page but quickly found it to be a dead end.
The profile picture for the fan page was a portrait of Abbie and Cole they’d never shared online, making the hosts think it must be someone they know.
‘It’s got 268 followers and no bio, usually we’ve got a lot to go on, but we’ve got nothing here. We can’t reverse image search,’ Julie said.

The pair then met with Cole’s brother Ben, who had been vocal about being jealous of his sister’s success, and their shop manager Marcus, who said they get up 30 gifts from fans everyday.
‘We’ve had arguments before about it, Dumfries is a small place and it falls back on me, people talk,’ he explained.
‘What they’re doing is very cringey, that hurts me, and I don’t want to see them get hurt, I’m just trying to be protective,’ he added.
‘I’d love to be internet famous, my videos make me feel good, so I’d love to make other people feel good,’ he went on.
Marcus explained that the couple have moderators who help delete comments from trolls, with Julie and Oobah deciding to contact them for help.
But as their success has grown, people set up fan pages for the pair, with the couple – who have two children together – receiving messages from an infatuated fan which made them uneasy.
The hosts then got in touch with Cole and Abbie who passed on details of their moderators, after explaining they got another ‘I will always win note’ to their house.
‘My nerves are shattered, the gifts are getting more and more frequent,’ Cole added.
Oobah also warned the pair to be more careful, saying the pair were able to quickly decipher their address from videos outside their house.
‘If it’s someone we know that’s the worse case scenario,’ Abbie explained. ‘If it’s someone we trusted, we put everything, our lives, our kids in their hands, my trust would be gone.’
While chatting to the pair, Oobah got a call from one of the moderators called Nicky, who spoke said she’d meet them the next day.
But when the group arrive at her house she’s not there, and Oobah received a message from the fan page saying the catfish would reveal themselves the next day.
Meeting at dock, the couple discover the person behind the gifts in Nicky to their shot.
‘Nicky, we can’t be here because you’re the catfish,’ Abbie says in disbelief. ‘We trusted you!’
‘You’ve seen what Cole’s been through and still we’re here! Why?’ she added. ‘What possible reason could there be, we’ve been suspecting everyone, her own brother, our whole family, but the whole time it was you, our friend,’ she added in shock.
‘I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it to get this far,’ Nicky explained. ‘You always said you didn’t want anything, and from that account you couldn’t stop me from sending gifts.
Hosted by radio and TV presenter Julie Adenuga and journalist and author Oobah Butler, each week Catfish UK will be helping love-struck hopefuls get to the bottom of their online relationships and uncover the truth of who they have been speaking to. In tonight’s episode the hosts even contacted Nev for help, with the expert internet detective saying Jasmin was showing all the signs of a classic catfish (pictured)
‘I just wanted to send you love and support and to make you smile, it was never meant to be anything other than that.
‘I never ever meant for it to get this way. It was never meant to get closer.
Explaining the ‘I will always win message’ she went on: ‘I like to help people, not just Cole and Abbie, others too. So when people argue with me I say “I will always win” I see now how it could make them uncomfortable.
‘It got to much near the end when Cole was really struggling, I didn’t know how to tell them,’ she added.
Despite their shock, Cole added she felt ‘revealed’ because the gifts didn’t come from malice.
Speaking two months after filming, the couple said they were in ‘the best possible position’ in their marriage, and that they’ve forgiven Nicky.
Nicky said she was ‘feeling good’ and their friendship was ‘better than ever’.
‘I know I can be myself, I don’t have to be anyone else,’ she added.
