Catherine Zeta-Jones has received her second dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

The actress, 51, shared the happy news on Instagram on Wednesday, telling fans: ‘Second shot this morning! So happy!’

Alongside the positive update, Catherine posted a stylish selfie, wearing a white face mask and chic circular sunglasses. Stuck to the A-lister’s black jumper was a sticker that read: ‘I’ve been vaccinated.’

Catherine – who lives in New York with her husband Michael Douglas and their two children – kept the east coast chill at bay by wrapping a patterned scarf around her neck.

Attached to the Entrapment star’s glasses was a beaded white chain.

The doting mother wrote in full: ‘2nd shot this morning!! So happy! I have a megawatt smile under my mask!’

Catherine’s upbeat post comes a day after she revealed that both son Dylan, 20, and daughter Carys, 17, are keen to follow in their famous parents footsteps in Hollywood.

The Welsh actress said in an interview on Tuesday’s Today show that her kids are ‘extremely bright’ and are ‘passionate’ about acting.

‘Michael and I would be the first parents to say, “You know, maybe you should think of another career,” but we’ve seen how passionate they are about the craft,’ Catherine explained.

‘They know what celebritydom is. They know the good, the bad, warts and all of that.’

She added: ‘My kids went off to summer camp every year, to theater camp with all the Broadway kids, and held their own very, very well, I have to say.’

The Chicago Oscar winner said both she and Hollywood star Michael, 76, do have concerns about how much Dylan and Carys would have to prove themselves because of who they are.

‘Michael’s experience was, it’s a hard act to follow when your dad’s Spartacus,’ she said.

Catherine shared that her children remain undeterred and look set to embark on acting careers.

‘I just presume that it’s in the cards and I’m very excited to see whatever journey they happen to go on,’ she said.

Catherine and Michael, son of legendary star Kirk Douglas, married in 2000.

He already had a son Cameron from his first marriage to Diandra Luker.

Cameron was seen on screen with his mother, father and grandfather in 2003’s It Runs In The Family.

In 2010, Cameron was sentenced to prison on drugs charges and was released in 2016. he has since gone on to marry and is the father of two young children.
