Celebs Go Dating bosses reportedly offered actors £500 to star as members of the public looking for love in the new series.

Sources claim that producers scouted models and performers and offered them a fee to appear in the show, which returns on Monday.

This year’s Celebs Go Dating will see another round of stars including Wayne Lineker, Chloe Ferry and Sophie Hermann attempting to find love with single ‘civilians’ by moving into a lavish £30 million mansion.

A source told The Daily Star: ‘At the end of October/early November producers were setting up Zoom interviews for potential members of the public to go on dates with the celebs.

‘It’s not unusual for people to be scouted to go on TV but they were going through online profiles of actors and models and offering them £500 as an incentive.

‘It raises the problem that the people picked may not be actually in it for love and simply wanting to make a quick buck.’

A representative for Lime Pictures told the publication that any members of the public who took part were offered compensation for self-isolating ahead of filming, but failed to deny whether actors were approached.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Celebs Go Dating for comment.

The new series saw the cast and single ‘civilians’ living together in a £30 million 10-bedroom mansion in Surrey, in accordance with COVID-19 restrictions.

Ahead of filming stars and members of the public were asked to self-isolate before forming a coronavirus secure bubble, meaning dates could take place without the need for social distancing.

Chloe is marking her second stint on the E4 reality show, and recently revealed she wants to have 10 children with a ‘multi-millionaire’.

Although she dated girls during her first appearance on the show, this time the star said she is now after a man, who she hopes will give her multiple children.

Chloe revealed that she is ‘less nervous’ this time around, and she is going into dating ‘with an open mind’, with hopes to find ‘the one’.

Speaking about her ideal man, she told The Sun: ‘It would be nice to have a multi-millionaire, don’t get me wrong. It would be nice. That would be great, actually. But I just want someone who’s successful in their own right and motivated.’

Chloe spoke of her desires to have a large family of 10 kids, while living on a farm.

She added: ‘My 10 year plan is I want to have 10 kids. I want to have loads of kids. I want the biggest family, I want to live on a farm with chickens and stuff like that, I want an ostrich!

‘I know that sounds like a big family but that’s what I want. My family’s everything to me.’
