Bob Iger, Disney’s Executive Chairman, took to Twitter to inform fans of an expanded homage to the late A-list actor.
The latest: Chadwick Boseman was hailed by Marvel on the day he would have turned 44 Sunday, about three months after his death from colon cancer
He wrote: ‘To all fans of #BlackPanther: watch the film on #DisneyPlus late tonight, for a special tribute to someone that was and will always be near and dear to our hearts.’
The montage showed the actor in his stints in Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Infinity War and Captain America: Civil War, with a quotation from his character, ‘In times of crisis, the wise build bridges while the foolish build barriers.’
Boseman is not expected to be seen in the sequel via CGI, Marvel Studios EVP Victoria Alonso told the Argentina news outlet Clarin, earlier this month, The Wrap reported.
‘There’s only one Chadwick and he’s not with us … our king, unfortunately, has died in real life, not just in fiction, and we are taking a little time to see how we return to history and what we do to honor this chapter of what has happened to us that was so unexpected, so painful, so terrible, really,’ Alonso said.

She continued: ‘Because Chadwick was not only a wonder of a human being every day for the five years that we spent together, but it also seems to me that as a character what he did elevated us as a company and has left his moment in history.
‘I know that sometimes two months go by or three months go by in production and you say, “Well, it was a long time,”‘ Alonso said. ‘But it is not a long time. We have to think carefully about what we are going to do and how and think about how we are going to honor the franchise.’

The late actor was hailed by his peers via social media Sunday, as they marked the somber occasion three months after the actor’s death.
Lupita Nyong’o wrote, ‘Deeply loved, sorely missed,’ alongside a shot of herself and the actor, while Mark Ruffalo wrote, ‘Thinking of your passion, love, and your light today, @chadwickboseman. Happy Birthday. Wishing we could time travel back to this moment.’
Boseman’s family said ‘it was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther’
The famed actor also played the role of Jackie Robinson in the film 42
Boseman, also known for his work in movies like 42, Marshall, Get on Up and Draft Day, was diagnosed with stage three cancer in 2016, and underwent ‘countless surgeries and chemotherapy’ in his battle with the disease, his family said, adding that he ‘died in his home, with his wife and family by his side,’ adding that ‘it was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.’
Last month, his brother Derrick Boseman opened up about the actor’s final days to The New York Times, as he said his brother told him, ‘Man, I’m in the fourth quarter, and I need you to get me out of the game.’
Derrick said, ‘When he told me that, I changed my prayer from, “God heal him, God save him,” to “God, let your will be done.” And the next day he passed away.’
