Sheen’s milestone and words of encouragement have not fallen on deaf ears on Twitter.

One of his followers replied: ‘I need to hear this @charliesheen, while another person added, ‘I quit Monday. Thanks for the encouragement from an unexpected place.’

Someone else applauded the Platoon star on his accomplishment by writing, ‘Good job, Charlie. I also quit a while back. Hardest thing I ever did but the best thing I ever did.’

And yet another follower gave him props for trying to motivate others to put down cigarettes and replied: ‘Good for you Charlie. It’s very hard, thanks for motivating others to quit.’

Another major milestone in Sheen’s life happens on December 10; his sobriety date.

This past December he celebrated two years off of drugs and alcohol, and a number of his family and friends took to social media to send him messages of support and congratulations.

While he did not mark that particular occasion with a public post, he did share about reaching one year of sobriety in 2018.

‘so THIS happened yesterday! a fabulous moment, in my renewed journey!’ he wrote along with a picture of his one-year sobriety medallion and the hashtag: #TotallyFocused.

Sheen had a much-publicized fallout from his substance abuse years, which included suffering a stroke after a cocaine overdose, numerous stints in rehab and run-ins with the law, and mental health issues.

In 2015, Sheen publicly announced he was HIV positive after having been diagnosed abut four years earlier.
