Charlie Worsham and wife Kristen welcome their first child together: ‘Easter arrived early for our family this year’
Charlie Worsham and wife Kristen announced that they have welcomed their first child together, son Gabriel Thomas Worsham, on Sunday.
‘Easter arrived early for our family this year,’ the Could It Be artist, 35, said in a caption to an Instagram post in which he showed his newborn child.
The country singer, 35, wrote: ‘Welcome young Gabriel Thomas Worsham, 6 pounds & 11 ounces of pure, miraculous love, born Thursday, April 1, at 3:38 pm, to the soundtrack of Sinners Like Me Gabe is sweet, peaceful and strong, like his mama.

He continued: They’re both doing great, and i’m just a mess of overwhelming love and joy and pride.’
On her Instagram, new mom Kristen posted the shot of her newborn, writing, ‘Gabriel Thomas Worsham entered this world on April 1st weighing in at 6 lbs 11 oz. He’s got a head full of hair, squishy cheeks and the sweetest soul…he’s heaven on earth!’
The Grenada, Mississippi-born singer last fall said publicly that he and Kristen were going to have a baby in an Instagram post in a musical video set to the Keith Urban song Wasted Time, in which he shuffled through a series of cards.
The cards read, ‘Anyways … wanna hear something crazy? Well … there is this one new project we’re pretty dang excited about,’ leading into an animated clip of the stork dropping off a baby to them. ‘How ’bout that?!’

In her post, Kristen wrote, ‘Baby on the horizon! Baby Boy Worsham, arriving April 2021 … Charlie and I are over the moon!’
He told People following the announcement, ‘History books may define 2020 by division and struggle, but for us it has been a year that gave me and Kristen the gift of more time spent together than ever before. And by far the greatest gift of our 2020 has been the news of our new arrival in the spring of 2021.’
He noted his reduced touring schedule as result of the pandemic, allowing him to be with his wife amid the pregnancy.
‘If this had happened any other year, chances are I wouldn’t get to be around much to witness this miracle,’ he said. ‘Kristen is stepping into her new role with grace and beauty, and I feel so fortunate to get to embark on this adventure alongside her.
‘The season ahead is going to be the sweetest and most important one of our lives, and we couldn’t be more excited.’
