Chelsea Houska is saying goodbye to MTV’s Teen Mom 2, revealing she’s leaving the show after starring in all nine seasons and the upcoming 10th season.
It was reported by The Ashley in late October that Houska, 29, announced she was done with the show after filming the virtual reunion special for the upcoming 10th season, with Houska’s father seemingly confirming the news by retweeting the report.
Now Houska is confirming the news herself, taking to Instagram on Tuesday to share a family photo along with a heartfelt message about leaving the show.

‘MTV’s Teen Mom 2 has been a big part of my life for almost 11 years. After much thought and discussion with my family and friends, Cole and I have decided that this season will be our last,’ Houska began.
‘We are forever thankful to MTV and our crew, who are like family to us. We’re parting on the best of terms and will stay in touch long after this,’ she added.
The reality star added she was ‘proud’ to share her family’s story, ‘and are so grateful to the fans who have followed our journey from the beginning.’

‘We are so excited for this next phase of our lives and hope you all will be a part of it in some way!’ Houska concluded.

Sources claimed that Houska told producers earlier in October that she was leaving the show, though her cast mates didn’t find out until the virtual reunion special.
‘The girls were filming from their homes, along with Dr. Drew [Pinsky] and Nessa, and at the end when all of the girls were on-screen together with [the hosts], they let Chelsea make her announcement to them,’ the source claimed.
‘Chelsea told everyone that she has decided that it’s best for her family if they move on from the show, and that it was a really hard decision, but that she feels like a weight has been lifted from her shoulders,’ the source added.

Houska joined Teen Mom 2 in its first season back in 2011, alongside Jenelle Evans, Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer, Briana DeJesus and Jade Cline.
Chelsea met Cole DeBoer in 2014, and he was introduced in the Season 6 premiere of Teen Mom 2.
They were married in October 2016 and have two children, three-year-old son Watson Cole and two-year-old daughter Layne Ettie, with the couple expecting their third child, and Houska’s fourth.
