Cherie Chan glows in a silk dress for her birthday with the cast of Netflix’s Bling Empire

She and her ultra-wealthy friends have been dubbed real-life Crazy Rich Asians on their Netflix reality series Bling Empire.

And Cherie Chan assembled her extreme wealth to celebrate her birthday recently with some of her castmates, along with her fiancé Jessey Lee.

On Sunday, the heiress opened up about the pricey celebration, which was held at the popular traditional Chinese restaurant J. Zhou in Tustin, California.

Crazy-rich Asians: Cherie Chan of Netflix’s Bling Empire enjoyed an opulent birthday party recently as she celebrated with her fiancé Jessey Lee and other cast members

Cherie radiated elegance in a short canary yellow silk dress from Nana Jacqueline that she wore for her big day.

The item showcased her slender legs and featured ruched sleeves and thick shoulders.

The low-cut top also included a small cut-out below her cleavage.

Although the cast members of Bling Empire regularly compete with each other to see who has the most expensive outfits, she wore a surprisingly modest — by Bling Empire standards — dress which runs for $425 from Nana Jacqueline’s website.

The reality star wore her auburn-colored locks down across her shoulders in gentle waves.

She added some extra sparkle with floral-design earrings, though she left her throat bare.

Jessey went all out with a black tux covered in paisley and gold floral designs, along with a tie-less black shirt and matching pants.

Cherie originally thought she was just throwing a Chinese New Year party for her friends, but Jessey covertly turned it into a birthday bash.

‘I wanted to surprise Cherie. She thought it was an intimate Lunar New Year Party but I got the entire Bling Empire cast to attend to celebrate her birthday,’ he explained.

The plan seems to have been a hit with his fiancée.

‘Jessey did a great job!’ Cherie gushed. ‘He even got a cake filled with gold flakes! All the guests were treated to Fish Maw with a side of Hermes! The only bling missing was my engagement ring…’

In January, Jessey revealed exclusive to DailyMailTV that he had intended to propose to Cherie back in 2018, but he had held off after her mother became ill, and then chose to wait three years after her death to follow a popular custom.

In addition to the two lovebirds, they were joined by other Bling Empire stars, including Kane Lim, Kevin Kreider, Andrew Grey, Kelly Mi Li and Christine and Gabrielle Chiu.

As would fit that crowd, each guest was given party favors from Hermès, including a tiny micro Kelly handbag, a charm-sized item that could fit in their palms.

They also received lipsticks and lip balms from the luxury brand, along with flowers for good fortune.

Although they were ostensibly celebrating Cherie’s birthday, the group were also gathering together to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

Hopefully the guests arrived with an empty stomach, because they were all treated to an 18-course meal.

The tasty items were sure to delight seafood fans and included Australian lobster salad, fish maw crab soup, an oyster dish called Fat Choi Ho Si, sea cucumber, abalone and live red snapper.

Foods above sea level were represented by pigeon, and vegetarian items were also served for the guests who didn’t eat flesh.

Cherie was graced with double cakes, as she ordered one herself and also a cake from Kane and Kevin.
