Chrishell Stause shoots down ongoing talk of a romance with DWTS partner Gleb Savchenko

Days after being eliminated from Dancing With The Stars, Chrishell Stause has once again come out and shot down rumors of a romance with dance partner Gleb Savchenko.

This time her denial comes after the Russian dancer announced his divorce from Elena Samodanova after 14 years of marriage.  

‘I feel like it really is annoying because it’s one of those things where, you know, unfortunately, the timing of what he’s going through personally, people want to make it into something it’s not,’ she said during an appearance on E!’s Daily Pop before adding, ‘So we’re just friends.’

The Selling Sunset star, who was eliminated from DWTS on November 2, would much rather not have to address the chatter, considering she too has had to endure a very public breakup with Justin Hartley. 

‘It does get annoying. I get it, I’ve been on soaps. You have to have that kind of stuff sometimes when you’re on the dance floor. People misinterpret that,’ the 39-year-old added.

Stause also showed her sense of humor when she revealed that she joked with Savchenko at the DWTS finale about wanting to keep her distance from him.

‘I was like, “Stay away from me. Social distance! Blame it on COVID,”‘ she said while laughing.      

The talk of a Stause and Savchenko hook-up started when his wife, who’s also a professional ballroom dancer, announced they were splitting on November 6, and that he had been seeing another woman.  

Upon learning the news, some fans began speculating that a budding romance between the dance partners might have been the cause.

The real estate agent shared on Instagram at the time that she was ‘saddened’ to hear of the couple’s separation, but made a point of emphasizing that she and Savchenko have a ‘strong supportive friendship, but nothing more.’

In a statement to People, Savchenko said his relationship with Stause is ‘strictly platonic’.        

‘While I will continue to respect the privacy of my family, I will not stand by and allow false accusations and internet rumors go unaddressed. My relationship with Chrishell was and remains strictly platonic,’ the 37-year-old explained.

‘Our friendship during our season on DWTS was not the reason for our split. Elena and I have had longstanding issues in our marriage. This has been an ongoing situation between Elena and I paired with poor timing.’
