Ciara and Russell Wilson have fun with their kids in matching festive aprons as she expresses her gratitude for ‘joy, family & love’ in the New Year

Ciara and her husband Russell Wilson were feeling ‘grateful’ as they rang in 2021.

The 35-year-old singer hosted Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in Los Angeles last night but had her mind on her family as she posted some photos from Christmas.

In the video the couple and their kids, Sienna, three, Win, five months, and Ciara’s eldest Future Zahir, six, wore matching plaid aprons as they stood in their kitchen and made silly faces.

The family wore white turtlenecks under the aprons as they posed against a festive backdrop that featured a wreath and some Christmas presents.

She wrote, ‘Grateful for Laughter, Joy, Family & Love. Hopeful for a better New Year for the World! Happy New Year to All!’

They put on an animated display as Wilson, 32, led the countdown ahead of the photo poses as they made a ‘scary face.’

Striking the poses while doing some baking preparation, Ciara joked ‘this is not a Merry Christmas,’ as they pretended to hit each other with spatulas.

Wilson also took to social media to express his thoughts on the new year while looking back on the challenges of the 2020.

He shared a portrait of the family as he wrote: ‘2020… brought challenges. Obstacles…opportunities to change… great loss of loved ones come and gone… as well as new life.’

He continued, ‘2021… I don’t know what you will bring… but for my family we will continue to Believe that Love is the way!’

Love: Wilson reflected on 2020 and shared his hopes for 2021 as he said, 'for my family we will continue to Believe that Love is the way!'

Ciara seemed to leave her family at home last night as she hosted the virtual New Years Eve party from the west coast alongside Ryan Seacrest who was live from Times Square.

She rang in the ball drop with many fun performances including Megan Thee Stallion, Miley Cyrus, Maluma and Doja Cat.

The Goodies hitmaker showed off her icy blue locks and twerking skills in a black snakeskin pantsuit that had a bit of shine to it.

Earlier this week she and best friend Vanessa Bryant took their kids on a ski trip in Montana, where both Ciara and her kids learned to ski for the first time, as she said even though she was figuring it all out it was ‘so much fun.’
