Clare Crawley has shot down allegations she wasn’t being honest about her prom confession.
After The Bachelorette, 39, revealed on Tuesday night’s episode that no one had asked her to prom, an Instagram user claimed Clare had indeed attended the dance – and with her husband.
‘My husband took @clarecrawley to senior prom, @clarecrawley you went to prom,’ Instagram user Boymommerch claimed on the online platform, along with photos of Clare and her husband attending the dance.

The Instagram post was obtained by Reality Steve, who also screen grabbed Clare’s response.
Clare did not back down from her initial claim, adding she didn’t attend prom after moving to a new school her senior year of high school.
‘You do know there is more dances in high school that are NOT Prom? Turns out it’s just someone digging up old photos. (why she keeps her husbands old dance pics I’m not sure) I went to a new school senior year and in fact DID NOT go to prom just like I said.’

Boymommerch was reacting to a comment Clare made on Tuesday night’s episode, where she claimed she had never been asked to prom.
‘I didn’t have the greatest high school experience either, to be honest. I never went to prom,’ Clare said on the show. ‘Nobody ever asked me. Nobody even knew who I was in high school. I was just invisible, I think. I felt invisible.’
Clare’s season of The Bachelorette premiered only one week ago, but it has been at the center of wild rumors for the last few months.

The former football player was even a recipient of Clare’s first impression rose, an indicator of her high level of interest.
