Dane DeHaan says he won’t be joining other past stars in the upcoming Spider-Man 3: ‘I don’t even know how that would be pulled off’

The upcoming sequel Spider-Man 3 has cast a bevy of villains from previous entries including Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina.

But Dane DeHaan revealed on Tuesday that he won’t be among the cast during an interview with RadioTimes.

‘There’s no truth to those rumors,’ said the 34-year-old actor.

Not happening: Dane DeHaan, 34, revealed he won’t be returning to the Spider-Man series for the upcoming third entry starring Tom Holland in an interview Tuesday with RadioTimes; seen in 2019

‘I don’t even know how that would be pulled off,’ he added.

The upcoming film, which will star Tom Holland as the masked webslinger, appears to be playing on the suggestion of alternate universes that was teased in the previous entry, 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home.

So far, Foxx and Molina have been confirmed to return for the still untitled Spider-Man 3 sequel, even though their characters previously dueled with two different Spider-Man incarnations played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

Maguire has also been rumored to returning to the new movie in some capacity, though his presence hasn’t been confirmed.

Nothing to see here: 'There’s no truth to those rumors,' said DeHaan, adding, ''I don’t even know how that would be pulled off.' He played Harry Osborn/Green Goblin in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (pictured)

‘I would certainly love to make some kind of movie like that again. I like making superhero movies or in that kind of world and I’m sure I’ll find myself in that world again,’ DeHaan continued.

‘And I have no idea what they’re doing with the Spider-Man movies now, but I don’t really understand a world in which that would be possible.’

On Tuesday, The Chronicle actor joked about all the attention he’s been receiving lately over a movie he won’t even appear in.

‘Will someone please tell my mom so she can stop asking about this,’ he joked while quote tweeting an article about Spider-Man 3.

DeHaan was featured in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as Harry Osborn, the son of the then-deceased Norman Osborn.

Confusingly, Willem Dafoe had played his father Norman in the 2002 Spider-Man with Maguire, while James Franco played Harry, who later took on the mantle of the Green Goblin in Spider-Man 3 (2007).

In the Andrew Garfield series, DeHaan’s character, a childhood friend of Peter Parks, is suffering from a terminal disease.

However, his radical attempt to cure it only accelerates his condition and warps him into the villain Green Goblin, who menaces Spider-Man.

In December, Dafoe was rumored to be returning to play Norman Osborn and the Green Goblin in the new Spider-Man film, which may have made DeHaan less likely to be included.

Insider Daniel Richtman — who has a track record of getting superhero casting news right — tweeted: ‘Welp we finally have our Norman Osborn in the MCU and it’s Dafoe again!’
