Darren McMullen is best known for his role as co-host of The Voice Australia.

But on Tuesday, the Scottish-Australian television presenter looked very different as he debuted his edgy new transformation on Instagram.

The 38-year-old confidently modelled his bizarre new look after shaving off half his beard.

Darren showed off her his full crop of thick brown hair but shaved the right side of his face.

‘This one’s for you @iamlincolnyounes Happy Birthday old chap. Thanks for the cut @darrensummors,’ he captioned the post.

It comes after it was announced that Sonia Kruger will be hosting the 2021 season of The Voice, following the news Seven has acquired the franchise from Nine.

Last year, Sonia was replaced by co-hosts Darren and Renee Bargh, after she moved from Nine to Seven to front Big Brother Australia.

It is unclear whether Darren and Renee will still have a role on the show.

Meanwhile, Delta Goodrem, who is The Voice’s longest-serving judge, is leaving the panel after joining in 2012.

Channel Seven recently confirmed Rita Ora would be joining an all-star panel of Australian singers – including Keith Urban, Jessica Mauboy and Guy Sebastian – in 2021.

The Voice is set to air on Channel Seven for the first time in 2021, after Network Nine failed to renew its contract after a nine-year run.

When Nine did not take up the contract for the 2021 season, Seven jumped on the licence ‘very quickly’, sources said.
