Moment delivery driver dumps customer’s £50 Gousto fresh food order in a maggot-infested WHEELIE BIN outside her house leaving it inedible

  • Char Morgan, from Swindon, Wiltshire, order a £50 Gousto fresh food order
  • Confused when she was told it had been delivered but could not find the parcel
  • Checked neighbour’s doorbell footage and saw delivery woman putting in bin

A Gousto customer was horrified when a delivery driver put £50 worth of fresh food inside her dustbin.

Char Morgan, from Swindon, Wiltshire, was left confused when she received a text informing her that her food parcel had been successfully delivered but she could not find it at her home.

In a bid to get to the bottom of the disappearance, she got in contact with her neighbour to ask if she could look at their doorbell footage and to her surprise saw the delivery driver, believed to work for Yodel, putting it in the bin.

Char Morgan was horrified when a delivery driver, believed to work for Yodel, was seen placing her Gousto order – worth £50 – in her dustbin

Ms Morgan said she spoke to Gousto and claims the company assured her they would speak to Yodel about the incident.

A clip from the front of their home shows the female delivery driver walk up to the house carrying the red parcel and dropping it at the front door before ringing the bell.

As soon as the delivery driver, wearing a yellow hi-visibility jacket, knocks on the door she begins inspecting the wheelie bin, opening the lid and looking inside.

When no one comes to the door, she picks up the parcel and places it inside the dustbin, walks to her van and drives off.

Ms Morgan, who was ‘really excited’ about her first Gousto delivery, said the £50 worth of fresh food was left overnight and was inedible because her bin has maggots.

She said: ‘I really hope she gets sacked for that let alone the fact she lied when asked. The way she looks around too to check if anyone can see and doesn’t even knock

A Yodel spokesperson commented: ‘The safe delivery of parcels is our number one priority. This behaviour clearly does not meet the strict protocols we set for our drivers and we’re investigating as a matter of urgency.’

MailOnline have approached Gousto for comment.
