Christmas has come early! Delta Goodrem announces surprise festive album – and it features a song with Aussie legend Olivia Newton-John
Delta Goodrem has just released her sixth studio album.
On Friday, the talented singer treated fans to the surprise release of a Christmas record, called Only Santa Knows.
‘The world has gone through so much this year, so bringing a lot of love and light at Christmas time was very important to me,’ the singer, 36, told Daily Mail Australia this week.

Delta continued: ‘I was sharing stories during lockdown about how much I love Christmas, and that inspired the writing… From there, I went on to produce and record the album.’
The new release will also see Australian icon Olivia Newton-John lending her vocals to one of Delta’s original tracks, Merry Christmas To You.
Only Santa Knows is Delta’s first full length Christmas album, following her 2012 Christmas EP, and features two original songs and 11 festive covers.
ARIA Award winner Gurrumul also appears on the album with a rendition of Silent Night.

Delta’s shock announcement online was quickly inundated with comments from fans.
‘QUEEN OF CHRISTMAS,’ one fan wrote. While a second added: ‘WORTH STAYING UP FOR.’
In July, Delta announced that she would be touring Australia and New Zealand in April and May 2021 to promote her upcoming album, Bridge Over Troubled Dreams.

‘I’m hoping that this gives us all something to look forward to when we come together to share the magic of live music again,’ she said.
‘The safety of fans, crew and staff is always our top priority, and we are working closely with all venues and the relevant health and other authorities to adhere to COVID regulations,’ she added.
Delta’s Bridge Over Troubled Dreams tour will mark her first live shows since 2016.
