Along with her words, Richards showcased a slew of snapshots of Henry, including one black-and-white portrait of herself planting a kiss on his furry head.

Rest in peace: Denise Richards took to Instagram on Sunday to announce the passing of her precious Pug Henry

‘I’m gutted & devastated. He was 15 yrs old & has been there for our family during the good times & the challenging times…unconditionally,’ began The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star in the post shared to her 1.1million followers.

According to Denise, Henry crossed ‘the rainbow bridge’ on Saturday due to old age.

The remainder of the four image slideshow featured an up-close image of Henry’s face as well as two images of the dog partaking in so much deserved lounge time.

She continued in the post’s caption: ‘He was the last dog of our family to know his Nana (my mom) & now he is with her & his siblings that have passed before him.’

Richard’s mother Joni passed away in 2007 at the age of 54 after enduring a lengthy cancer battle.

‘He’s so special. He loved every dog, cat, pig, human, animal, he never had a feisty attitude with anyone. The most easy going personality & as every pug parent knows, the most sensitive. Never one to hide his feelings. Or.. one to miss a meal.

‘Henry.. heaven is so much better with you there my love,’ concluded the Wild Things actress.

Soon after sharing her touching tribute, Richards returned to Instagram to post a heartbreaking image of her dog Jasper, who was clearly missing his deceased sibling as he laid in his bed.

‘Jasper is missing Henry… he’s laying on his bed,’ wrote Richards.

She then went on to pen a message to husband Aaron Phypers, where she gave the 47-year-old credit for helping care for the elderly pup.

‘@aaronwilliamcameron you kept Henry here & healthy a lot longer & we knew he would let us know when it would be time to cross the rainbow bridge.’

Just two days before Henry’s tragic demise, Phyper celebrated his 47 birthday and his doting wife made sure social media knew all about it.

‘Happy birthday to my better half,’ captioned Denise, before reminding the CEO of Quantum 360 that she ‘loves’ him.

Richards married Phyper in 2018 after a year of dating. The ceremony was held in Malibu.

In 2019, Denise revealed that Phypers would adopt her youngest daughter Eloise. She also shares two older girls with ex Charlie Sheen, 16-year-old Sam and 14-year-old Lola.

Henry’s abrupt passing comes a little over two months since Richards lost another one of her rescue dogs named Louie.

At the time, the reality star wrote that she was ‘heartbroken’ and had just returned from filming The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills in Spain when she was forced to ‘say goodbye’ to him.

‘We rescued him 10yrs ago and he’s one of the funniest & most animated furry babies,’ she wrote. ‘I’m so grateful he waited until I got home so I could be with him.’

‘Louie you are so loved & will be missed terribly. Thank you for blessing us with your unconditional love & effervescent beautiful spirit my [heart].’

The trailer for the new season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills dropped Wednesday showing Denise Richards in tears as her affair with co-star Brandi Glanville was exposed.
