DMX to be honored with Texas tribute show featuring family… after releasing first posthumous album Exodus

The late rap legend DMX will be honored on May 29 at a tribute show called Where My Dogs At? at the Wildcatter Saloon in Katy, TX.

Wildcatter owner Justin Whitfield told TMZ on Wednesday that the three-time Grammy nominee’s fiancée Desiree Lindstrom will deliver a speech and bring his 15th child, four-year-old son Exodus Simmons.

DMX’s (born Earl Simmons) eight-year-old daughter Sonovah Hillman Jr. will also perform, having wowed the crowd with her rendition of his 1998 track Slippin’ during his Celebration of Life at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on April 24.

OG Ruff Ryder Drag-On will close the show following performances from Coozablack and Sin City, Big Yogi, Tone Royal, Lil Troy, Cris Coke, and Word One.

WWE Hall of Famer Stevie Ray and Sui Gordan of A&E series Pitbulls & Parolees will host the DMX tribute.

On Monday, DMX’s social media accounts announced his first posthumous album Exodus, which is his first record since dropping Grand Champ back in 2003. 

‘My brother X was one of the most pure and rare souls I’ve ever met. He lived his life dedicated to his family and music,’ Exodus producer Swizz Beatz said in a statement.
