Dr. Dre must find a new lawyer in his costly legal battle with estranged wife Nicole Young, after a judge ruled out his chosen divorce attorney Laura Wasser and his own personal lawyer Howard King.

It is considered to be a major victory for Young, 51, as Wasser is known to be one of the most powerful divorce attorneys in Hollywood, and is currently representing Kim Kardashian.

According to PageSix, Young’s lawyer Samantha Spector disqualified both Wasser and King from the case because King had previously acted as their family lawyer since their engagement, and Wasser also had a previous working relationship with King.

Per the report, court papers filed in LA court this week showed that the judge ruled Dre, 56, – full name Andre Romelle Young – ‘is instructed to obtain counsel as soon as possible’ meaning he has to find a new lawyer.

Representatives for the rapper were unavailable for comment when contacted by DailyMail.com.

Wasser earned her title of Hollywood’s ‘disso queen’ (meaning ‘dissolution of marriage’) after becoming the go-to divorce lawyer for the rich and famous.

Meanwhile, King has been named as one of The Hollywood Reporter’s ‘Power 100 Lawyers in Entertainment’ and has been dubbed a ‘Super Lawyer’ in Hollywood.

Earlier this month, Dre denied abuse claims from Young and alleged that she is using them as a strategy to get out of the prenup he insists is still in place.

The hip-hop mogul filed legal documents in his already nasty divorce with the mother-of-two as he claims that her abuse allegations an attempt to squeeze money out of him as there is $1billion on the line.

As Dre was hospitalized for a brain aneurysm in January, he also believes that the claims are making the split stressful for him.

The documents also say that Dre claims Nicole’s allegations are not only false but also ‘appalling.’

He also denies her allegations that he had abused her even before they got married including the night before their actual wedding.

Nicole also had claimed that he ‘forced’ her to sign the prenup which the rapper also denies.

This has already been one of the most contentious celebrity divorces in recent memory as last month Dre requested for a judge to award him ‘single status.’

In January DailyMail.com revealed that Nicole filed court documents accusing Dre of violent and emotional abuse during their 24-year marriage.

The music tycoon held a gun to her head, punched her in the face and slammed her against a wall, lifting her off her feet by her neck, she declared.

Shortly after her scathing declaration to the court, Nicole’s legal team huddled with Dr Dre’s lawyers and the end result was that Dre – reportedly still in his hospital bed after suffering a brain aneurysm – signed an agreement to pay Nicole a lump sum of $2million in temporary support till April.

Dre had been paying Nicole $293,000 a month in support, but she is asking the court to force him to pay her almost $2million a month, plus another $5million for attorney fees.

Nicole – who claimed in legal documents that Dre has more than $260 million on hand in cash and Apple stocks – contends that she has a right to continue the lavish lifestyle she had as Mrs. Andre Young – which she said cost around $2.3million per month.

Michel’le, who dated Dre in the 1990s, has repeatedly accused him of physical abuse which he denied in 2016 while threatening suit over a Lifetime movie about the subject.

TV host Dee Barnes has also written that he beat her up at a party in 1991, as well as rapper and singer Tairrie B.
