Duck Dynasty’s Sadie Robertson welcomes her first child with Christian Huff: ‘Sweet honey girl’

Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson Huff welcomed her first child — a baby girl by the name of Honey James — with husband Christian Huff on Tuesday May 11.

The 23-year-old new mother shared a carousel of images from the birth of their daughter as she called her ‘the best’ of ‘a million little miracles.’ 

The reality star and her husband of nearly two years, 22, announced their exciting pregnancy news back in October, and revealed their daughter’s name to the world in late April which was based on a bible verse. 

Sadie documented the journey to labor as she posted some intimate hospital snaps to announce their family had grown by one.  

‘we saw a million little miracles yesterday – the best one being this girl right here… Honey. the pure goodness of God,’ she wrote adding that she was ‘too occupied right now by cuteness,’ but would share more to social media soon.  

The bundle of photos included one of she and Christian cradling their newborn who was adorned with a pink head bow while wrapped in a blanket. 

And other black and white photos showed the moments before and after Honey made her arrival into the world. 

Christian also shared a few snaps to his Instagram as he wrote: ‘Welcome to the world sweet honey girl.’ 

And despite Honey being less than a day old, the parents already debuted an official Instagram account for her — @legithoneyjames — writing in the bio that she was ‘a chunky miracle.’ It already boasts nearly 44K followers. 

The pair first announced they were expecting in October as they shared sonogram photos, writing ‘baby we already adore you,’ and calling her life ‘miraculous’ and ‘incredible.’  

Sadie has continued to update her 4.1M followers on a weekly basis ahead of their daughter’s arrival, documenting her growing bump in the process. 

And to make things more challenging, she contracted COVID-19 while pregnant as she told People in December that it was a ‘challenge.’ 

‘The hardest thing was I did get COVID while I was pregnant and I was so sick from that, and so sick still in the morning sickness, so that was a challenge,’ she told the publication. But despite the symptoms she said that overall her pregnancy was ‘amazing.’  

The pair — who celebrated their one year wedding anniversary in November — chose to reveal the name of their daughter early as Sadie shared glimpses of the nursery with a bear that read ‘Honey.’ 

The Whoa That’s Good podcast host elaborated on the name via social media, sharing that it was close to her heart for many reasons. 

In addition to being based on proverb 16:24 that reads: ‘Gracious words are like HONEY, sweetness to the soul and health to the body,’ she added that she liked that the substance was ‘a sweet delicacy with a strong healing component.’ 

Furthermore it had been a term of endearment she had given to Christian when they first began dating, as well as a longtime pet name her great grandmother had given to those she loved.
