EastEnders’ Jessica Plummer addresses her explosive public row with her ex-partner Jaz Hutchins

Jessica Plummer has addressed the explosive public row she had with ex-partner Jaz Hutchins in September last year.

The former EastEnders and I’m A Celebrity star, 28, was spotted screaming at the father of her daughter Noa, four, during a heated exchange in Streatham Hill, South London, in which she branded him ‘selfish’ and ‘sneaky.’

And speaking about the argument in a new interview, Jessica told how she needs to be more ‘conscious’ about how she acts in public now she’s in the spotlight, while insisting she still ‘loves’ Jez.

‘I’m a human being just like everybody else’: Jessica Plummer has addressed the explosive public row she had with ex-partner Jaz Hutchins in September last year.

Discussing the incident with Fabulous Magazine, Jessica said: ‘I think I need to be conscious of the fact people will be more invested in things I do and say which shouldn’t necessarily be public…

‘But at the same time I am a human being just like everybody else and I’m not going to allow the very human things I do to make me question who I am as an individual.’

Jessica, who played Chantelle Atkins in the BBC soap, added that she has now adopted a new ‘mentality’ in which she accepts the people’s opinions of her are ‘none of my business.’

She went on to say that since stepping into the public eye, she has to accept that people will have their opinions on her, but there’s simply ‘nothing I can do’ about it.

Despite their dramatic row, single-mum Jessica insists that things are still good between her and childhood sweetheart Jez, whom she split from last year, with the couple continuing to co-parent daughter Noa.

She explained: ‘Noa’s dad and I have been in each other’s lives for such a long time. Yes, I am single right now, but I will always love him, he will always be my family and we fully share responsibility for Noa.’

She went on to say that Jez is a ‘a wonderful dad’ and she does not have ‘a bad word to say’ about him as a parent to Noa.

The beauty also addressed any possibility of the pair rekindling their romance, stating: ‘Who knows what the future holds for us?’, but at present she’s making the most of the ‘freedom’ of single life.

She joked that she’s enjoying not having to ‘answer’ to anybody else after having ‘too many headaches’ from ‘boys in my life’.

Footage of the row, obtained by The Sun, saw the actress looking rather distressed as she pointed and yelled at Jez, and was heard shouting: ‘You’re selfish. You’re selfish,’ while also calling him ‘a sneaky person’.

According to the publication, the row began when the pair walked up a street in south London together.

An onlooker told the news outlet: ‘I looked out of the window because there was a huge public row going on, and I could hear a woman screaming at someone.

‘As soon as I saw her, I realised it was Chantelle from EastEnders. I recognised her straight away.

‘After they finished screaming at each other she sat down on a wall and cried and he stormed off in one direction and she walked off the other way.’

A source close to Jessica explained at the time that the argument wasn’t a ‘big deal’ and the disagreement between them has now been resolved.

MailOnline has contacted Jessica’s representatives for comment at the time, while an EastEnders representative declined to comment.

Jessica has rarely publicly shared any information about the father of her child and has only posted a video of him when she celebrated her pregnancy in 2016.

In the caption at the time, she wrote: ‘Couldn’t be happier to be starting a family with my childhood sweetheart.’

Following her exit from EastEnders last year (in which her character Chantelle was killed by abusive husband Gray), Jessica went on to star in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’

She finished up in seventh place and was evicted alongside singer Russell Watson.
