Eddie Murphy is returning to the big screen with his latest movie, Coming 2 America – a sequel to his 1988 comedy hit.
On Sunday, the actor, 59, revealed what it was like working with his daughter, Bella Murphy, 19, who stars alongside him in the film as Omma, the daughter of his Prince Akeem character.
‘You could go see your child in a school play and your heart would burst with pride,’ he told The Sunday Project.

‘So to look over on a movie set and my daughter is there and she’s in my movie and doing an amazing job, you make me start getting goofy and gushy.
‘It’s a special thing to have your baby girl in the movie and to be doing a good job,’ the star said.
Eddie also revealed his favourite character that he’s ever played – singer Randy Watson, who appeared in 1988’s Coming To America.

However, the Daddy Day Care actor says that the six hours in the makeup chair to make characters like Randy come alive is just too much for him.
‘Every time I’m on a make-up movie, I’m like, “Never again. I’m never doing it again.” And some kind of way I wind up doing it. But this one is the last time,’ he said.

The comedian has been engaged to Australian model Paige Butcher, 41, since 2012, and they have two children – daughter Izzy, four, and son Max, two.
