Elizabeth Olsen addresses bizarre Olsen Twins theory in WandaVision on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Elizabeth Olsen is getting ready for her new series WandaVision, and she spent part of her Wednesday night exploring some strange fan theories.

Olsen, 31, discussed these theories in a virtual interview on Wednesday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

One of the most humorous theories involved her own sisters, twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson, whose involvement Olsen briefly addressed.

The show itself pokes fun at the sitcom format, showing Wanda Maximoff a.k.a. Scarlet Witch (Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) living their best sitcom lives.

There are a number of different sitcom eras explored in the show, which lead to one of Kimmel’s theories about the show.

He suggested that Olsen, ‘bears a striking resemblance to these actors,’ before showing a photo of Mary-Kate and Ashley now.

Kimmel then suggested that, since Mary-Kate and Ashley starred on the 1990s sitcom Full House, that means Uncle Joey, played by Dave Coulier, would join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The suggestion alone made Olsen laugh, adding, ‘That would be incredible. It is very meta, the whole thing.’

Kimmel also presented a few other theories, including one involving a strange symbol on Vision’s tie.

The symbol shows a rectangle with two dots inside the rectangle, and two outside of it, which he theorized represented the couple are both, ‘trapped inside something and also on the outside, where you can’t get in or can’t get out.’

When asked if any of that, ‘rang a bell,’ Olsen responded, ‘The thing is, all of these Easter Eggs, even if they were real, they would go way above my head.’

He then presented another strange theory, showing another photo of a wine bottle dubbed Maison du Mépris.

The French wine name translates to House of Misery, which has had some fans speculating could mean the show is based on the Marvel comic book House of M, where her character has a breakdown.

Olsen said in response, ‘Our prop guy Russell would be a very clever man if he threw that in,’ while not confirming nor denying it.

She did add that the show will explore every decade of sitcoms, ‘from the 50s through the aughts, and there’s a reason for it.’

WandaVision will debut on the Disney Plus streaming service starting January 15.
