Summersalt added that it hopes to ’empower all women to feel confident, exactly as they are,’ and a spokesperson explained that the brand wanted to feature such a diverse cast of models to help ‘promote body positivity and self-confidence’ for people of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds.

The models range in age from 23 to 73, with Maye being the oldest. The model, author, and practicing dietician looks regal in her black one-shoulder one-piece as she poses with her hand on her hips, her silver hair combed back.

‘I’m so happy to have confidence at 73,’ Maye said in the playful campaign video.

Maye is no stranger to breaking boundaries in the fashion industry after having found her greatest success as a model in her 60s and 70s. The mother of three made history in 2018 when she became the face of CoverGirl at the age of 69, and her modeling career continues to thrive.

Brand investor Sara Foster, 40, posed alongside her sister Erin Foster, 38, for the campaign wearing complementary swimsuits.

Both sisters are performers and entrepreneurs and are best known for their VH1 parody Barely Famous. They most recently launched their podcast The World’s First Podcast with Erin & Sara Foster.

But Sara not only featured in the campaign as a model, she actually designed some of the swimwear that is showcased in the images.

In one photo, the sisters are both sporting wet beach hair and wearing electric blue swimsuits: a bikini for Sara and a high-leg one-piece for Erin, both of which were designed by the older Foster sibling as part of her Summersalt x Sara Foster Electric Blue capsule collection.

Former E! News host Catt Sadler, 46, struck several different poses in a fuchsia bikini from the brand. She made headlines in 2017 after advocating for equal pay to her male co-star.

‘Every body is a Summersalt body,’ she said at the start of the campaign video, while actress and YouTuber Anna Akana boasted: ‘I get a lot of my confidence from being the funniest person that I know — not the most humble.’

‘I’m my most confident when I’m my authentic self,’ shared travel blogger and influencer Jessica Nabongo.

A number of the models had appeared in previous campaigns, including Paralympic gymnast Chelsea Werner, who has Down syndrome, and model Andrea Thomas, who has vitiligo, a skin condition that causes patches of skin to lose pigment.

‘My body has designer skin,’ Andrea said in the body-positive clip.

Optimism Doctor Deepika Chopra, Seagram’s heiress and entrepreneur Hannah Bronfman, and stylist Stacey London are also among the stars of the campaign.
