Elton John rings in Victoria Beckham’s 47th birthday with throwback snap

Elton John led the birthday messages for his close pal Victoria Beckham as she turned 47 on Saturday. 

The singer, 74, who has been friends with Posh for nearly 30 years, took to Instagram to share a snap of the pair partying taken several years ago. 

Elton captioned the post ‘Happy Birthday gorgeous!’, with Victoria later sharing the snap to her own Instagram stories. 

Elton’s husband David Furnish, 58, also took to Instagram to wish Victoria Happy Birthday. He wrote: ‘Happy Birthday Barbra!! Love, Barry xoxo’.

The fashion designer replied: ‘Thank you Barry! I miss singing with you!! Kisses Babs! X’.  

Meanwhile, Romeo, 18, uploaded a photo of himself and his mum smiling for a photo by a lake. 

The teenager wrote: ‘Happy birthday mum!! I hope you have the most amazing day. I love you so much. You’re amazing.’

Cruz also marked the celebrations with a sweet holiday snap and wrote: ‘Happy birthday mum have a good day’. 

Victoria’s Spice Girls bandmate also wished her a Happy Birthday, telling Posh: ‘Happy Birthday my gorgeous friend and spicy sister @victoriabeckham. Love you to bits.’ 

Victoria later took to her Instagram where she showed an image from a photoshoot of her with a birthday hat on as she stood on a table surrounded by balloons and presents. 

She wrote: ‘Happy Birthday to me! and happy Saturday! Kisses! Xx’ 

The fashionista also shared a slew of sweet birthday messages on her stories, including her sister Louise who shared a snap from their childhood. 

Victoria has been spending the past few months in Miami as husband David focuses on his work with InterMiami FC. 

The family have recently returned from a holiday in Turks and Caicos. 

But the mum-of-four appeared to let her hair down on Friday night as she partied with David and Kim Kardashian at the opening of Pharrell Williams’ new hotel, The Goodtime Hotel in Miami Beach. 

David has been a busy man of late, having reportedly signed a seven-figure deal with Disney+ for a TV series inspired by his incredible football career. 

The former England captain will mentor a group of inner-city youngsters from an east London team who grew up in similar circumstances to him. 

And away from football he has spent lockdown focusing on his work with Haig Club – a single grain, no-age-statement Scotch whisky, which was launched by music mogul Simon Fuller back in 2014.
