Emmerdale’s Kris Mochrie felt ‘gutted’ when he discovered that ‘scumbag’ thieves had broken into his vehicle to steal his personal items.

The actor, 34, who played the wicked Lee Posner on the ITV soap, shared a snap of his smashed car window on Saturday and encouraged his Instagram followers to ‘be careful’. 

He wrote on the shocking post: ‘My laptop was in a bag in the boot for an hour and some scumbags did this.

‘Gutted! Be careful guys x’. 

Kris, who also starred in the Channel 4 soap Brookside in 2002, departed Emmerdale in 2019 after a brief stint playing Lee.

His character was brutally assaulted by Robert Sugden for raping his sister, Victoria, resulting in his coma and ultimate death on the show. 

After exiting Emmerdale, Kris hit the headlines earlier this year as he began dating Max Parker, who plays his on-screen brother, Luke Posner.

Sources revealed the pair have been on a string of dates after meeting during Kris’ final day of filming.  

A source told The Sun: ‘They were cast as brothers and are really alike and have been joking that casting did a great job.

‘The boys kept in touch after Kris finished on the show but they’ve spent a lot of time together over summer.

‘It’s early days but they’re really enjoying themselves and who knows what the future holds.’

Their romance appears to be going from strength to strength, with Kris regularly posting photo updates of them lounging in the sun or enjoying an evening meal together. 

The actor has gone on to land a role as Senior Director at The Shankly Hotel in Liverpool, a luxury £12million property which celebrates the life of Liverpool Football Club manager, Bill Shankly.
