Entrepreneur, 29, who earns £70K claims she’s branded man’s ‘eye candy’ due to revealing wardrobe

An entrepreneur who earns more than £70,000 a year has claimed she’s constantly mistaken for a man’s ‘arm candy’ because she likes to wear revealing clothes.

Sabrina Saggu, 29, who was born in London before moving to Toronto as a child, has enjoyed a profitable career trading cryptocurrency since she quit her ‘rat race’ job as the Covid-19 pandemic took hold last March.

She believes men and women should earn at least six figures before they settle down – and insists she’s never relied on a man for financial security.

Despite her impressive salary, Sabrina said he struggles to be taken seriously and is constantly judged based on how she looks.

‘It’s been happening to me ever since I can remember,’ she told FEMAIL.

‘Unfortunately in society people assume that an attractive woman’s luxurious lifestyle is provided by a male, like I’m someone’s arm candy, but that couldn’t be further from the truth for me.’

Sabrina said she’s never been dependent on a man to provide the luxurious lifestyle she has become accustomed to.

‘Relationships can be temporary, I could never imagine staying with a man I was unhappy with or who doesn’t treat me right to maintain a lifestyle,’ she explained.

‘I always knew I was going to provide a luxurious lifestyle for myself. I’ve always been a huge advocate for men and women on clearing six figures before they even think about settling down or starting a family, because most marriages end because of lack of money.

‘Exceptions exist of course, if one is to find a partner vibrating at the same high frequency, and they can grow together, but that’s extremely rare.

‘I believe life isn’t about a conventional fairytale – “find a man who will save you when you’re in trouble and have kids, happily ever after”.’

But she said her parents, who emigrated from Africa and India to England and then Canada, instilled in her a fantastic work ethic and determination to stand on her own two feet.

She used these attributes to achieve her lifelong dream of travelling all over the world and has visited dozens of countries since making it in her new industry.

‘I do have to work a little to get past that, but as soon as people get to know me, they see me more for who I am on the inside,’ she added.

‘I’m extremely well respected by men and women within my industry, and beyond.

‘When I had conventional jobs I would very regularly be harassed or made to feel uncomfortable by bosses, supervisors and co-workers.

‘Within the industry that I’m in, I’ve never been treated with more respect. I’m very blessed and grateful, and something that I’d love to do is get my story out into the world.

‘I know how many women can relate feeling uncomfortable at their job, and it’s unfortunate because many feel they need to be polite because they need their jobs.

‘It’s not a nice feeling, it’s not okay and you deserve to only be in environments where you feel safe.’

‘They never dreamed what I’m doing is possible,’ Sabrina said. ‘Ladies, don’t be in a rush to settle down with a man, you have the rest of your life to do that.

‘I believe life is more about finding and becoming the best version of yourself.

‘And if you happen to find a partner that compliments your life, supports your dreams, and encourages you to become the best version of yourself, that’s just a bonus.’
