She is preparing for her upcoming appearance on Dancing On Ice in January.

And Faye Brookes looked chic in a monochrome ensemble as she left a hair and beauty salon in Manchester on Thursday with blow-dried curled locks.

The former Coronation Street actress, 33, stepped out from Evelyn House Of Hair And Beauty in an dogtooth v-neck jumper, which she paired with a black high-neck top.

The actress star kept warm with sheer tights under the dress and thigh-high socks.

She kept it matching, accessorising simply with a black Mulberry handbag and heeled ankle boots.

Faye completed the look with a long navy blazer and added a pop of festive red on her lips.

The brunette wore her medium-length locks curled and loose around her shoulders as she radiated beauty.

Manchester is under Tier 3 (Very High Alert) lockdown restrictions, allowing hairdressers and beauty salons to remain open.

Dancing On Ice has been hit by claims that contestants may not be up to the usual standards of skating by the launch after public rinks had to close.

It is thought bosses are worried that a reported lower amount of training time coupled with the line-up being on Christmas break means they may not be good enough to compete, The Sun reported

However, as the show is not starting until January 17, a little later than its usual kick off at the beginning of the year, it is hoped that the stars can ‘sharpen up’.

A source told the publication: ‘Covid is causing chaos with the Dancing On Ice filming. The practice rinks have all been shut.

‘All of this happened before the Christmas break and the new tier system was announced.

‘Thankfully there’s a bit of extra time they can hopefully sharpen up. If not there’s going to be some questionable skating on show.’

A spokesperson for Dancing On Ice declined to comment.

Earlier this month, Faye shared a sweet tribute to her boyfriend Joe Davies when she posted a throwback snap on Saturday.

The actress was smitten as she snuggled up to her personal trainer beau while they enjoyed a dinner date in the snap, before the pair were then seen heading out for coffee together in Manchester later in the day.

Gushing about Joe, Faye wrote to him: ‘How is this a whole year ago …? I honestly believe I’m a better person just being near you my love.’

In the sweet message she added: ‘Thank you for loving me the way you do…’
