Former AFL star Dane Swan and his girlfriend Taylor Wilson announce the birth of their first child

Former AFL star Dane Swan and his girlfriend Taylor Wilson have welcomed their first child, a baby boy, together.

The 36-year-old sports star shared the happy news during an interview on KIIS FM’s Jase and PJ breakfast show on Monday.

‘We had [the baby] on Saturday. He’s good. Mum and baby are healthy, happy and a little tired,’ Dane said.

The former AFL star went on to say his girlfriend Taylor ‘has also been amazing so far which has been great.’

‘She was only in labour for 90 minutes. Her midwife and the gynecologist didn’t even make it,’ he revealed.

‘She did it all natural without any drugs. She was pretty incredible.’

Dane also described the experience as ‘surreal’ and revealed that the couple haven’t decided on a name for their newborn son yet.

‘It’s crazy to stare at him in his little bed and to think we made him and he is ours. It’s wild and I’m not sure it has sunk in yet,’ he said.

Dane and his girlfriend Taylor have been dating since 2010. 

Dane announced he and Taylor were expecting their first child together on KIIS’ Jase and PJ breakfast show on November 27. 

‘The cat’s out of the bag!’ Dane said before revealing their baby was due in February. 

‘Not that I was hiding it, it’s very, very hard to hide a pregnant woman for the rest of your life, or hide a kid in the basement for the rest of its life,’ Dane joked.

‘Heard that doesn’t end well.’
