The Secrets of The Bachelor revealed: A former star shares the ‘unspoken cocktail party code’ the contestants MUST abide by

With a bevy of gorgeous women vying for Locky Gilbert’s heart on The Bachelor Australia, there’s not denying that things can get a little haywire from time to time.

And on Friday, a former Bachelor star has revealed the ‘unspoken cocktail party code’ that the contestants must abide by to stop all hell breaking loose.

Rosemary Sawtwell, 23, spoke to Pedestrian after being booted off the show on Thursday and said that the girls all agreed to never kiss Locky at the cocktail party and to try and avoid drama.

‘There’s not like a written code, but I feel like the unspoken code is, don’t kiss at the cocktail party, don’t try and cause drama, that’s just out of mutual respect, but we never really spoke about it,’ Rosemary said.

However after Roxi Kenny, 29, and Kaitlyn Hoppe, 26, clashed at the cocktail party on Thursday, Rosemary said that Kaitlyn wasn’t aware of the code.

‘And with Kaitlyn being new, she literally hadn’t even watched the show before so she had no idea how things would play out,’ Rosemary said.

The retail manager then went on to comment Kaitlyn for playing the ‘game.’

‘So at the end of the day, she did what she wants and to be honest, I would’ve done the same thing if I had the chance!’

During the spat, a jealous Roxi became furious after discovering that Kaitlyn had given leading man Locky Gilbert a kiss at the cocktail party.

At one stage, she said within earshot of Kaitlyn: ‘I’m sorry but I think that’s really rude to everyone else. You kissed someone at a cocktail party.’

‘That’s classless. She’s Gold Coast trash,’ she added. ‘This little silly b***h over here is saying she pecked on with someone. It’s disgusting. The b***h is a sl*t.’

As things became heated later on, Roxi labelled Kaitlyn ‘Malibu Barbie gone wrong’, before screaming over and over again that she was ‘trash’.

Meanwhile, Kaitlyn repeatedly held her hand up in front of Roxi’s face and told her to ‘go cry’, which only aggravated her further.

Rosemary also told The Courier Mail this week that the feud was like ‘World War III,’ and that it was actually worse than what was shown on TV.

‘It was literally World War Three,’ said the Brisbane native.

‘I think Roxi just really had had enough by the end of the night. She didn’t want Kaitlyn to say any more. I completely understand where she’s coming from.’

Despite the arguments on set, Rosemary insisted there was a strong ‘sisterhood’ in the Bachelor mansion and it was ‘disappointing’ not to see that on TV.

The Bachelor continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10
