Francia Raisa reveals ’emotionally-draining’ two-week process to have 28 of her eggs frozen

Grown-ish actress Francia Raísa discussed the ’emotionally-draining’ two-week process to have 28 of her eggs frozen in order to delay the whole biological clock issue.

‘I don’t want to settle, and I really want to wait for the right person,’ the 32-year-old LA native explained while guest co-hosting Monday’s episode of The Talk.

‘I really want to be friends with someone first and really know you, because I don’t want to have to worry about that again ever. So I went ahead and did it, and now I’m not in a rush to get into a relationship…If you’re a working woman and you just want to take your time, I think it’s very smart.’  

Francia admitted it wasn’t as easy as she thought it would be because ‘you’re basically pregnant.’

‘I think the hardest part was you know, I did get bigger and I didn’t have a baby. So, that was rough,’ Raísa (born Almendárez) said.

‘It’s very emotional. I cried all the time. I thought everyone hated me. I am grateful to everyone at Grown-ish for being so patient with me while I was doing the whole process, because I would walk off set right at 5:45 to make sure I was injecting at 6 o’clock. It was definitely very emotional, and I’m glad that I’m not as crazy anymore.’ 

The JoJo video vixen added: ‘I’m glad I did it, and I do suggest it to other women to do it. The recovery process is hard. I had a lot of great support, and now I’m not afraid of needles so much.’

Francia – who’s of Mexican and Honduran descent – looked lovely in a sleeveless ruffled cranberry pencil dress selected by ‘image architect’ Law Roach.

Hairstylist Ashley Ruiz coiffed Raísa’s sleek middle-parted updo and make-up artist Bria Vαlència made sure she was ready for her close-up on the CBS talk show. 

On Tuesday, the Floored guest judge – who boasts 2.5M social media followers – shared a snap of herself wearing a yellow plunging one-piece swimsuit.

Francia currently portrays Cal U senior Analisa ‘Ana’ Patricia Torres in Freeform’s Black-ish spin-off sitcom Grown-ish, which returns for a fourth season on July 8.

But Raísa is probably best known for charitably donating one of her kidneys in 2017 to her elusive yet grateful friend Selena Gomez, who was suffering from the autoimmune disorder Lupus.
