George Burgess and wife Joanna escape COVID-stricken England as they enjoy tropical family getaway

They recently marked their one-year anniversary of living in England.

But George Burgess and wife Joanna escaped the winter chill for some sun, sea and sand at an undisclosed tropical location.

In posts shared to her Instagram on Monday, the pair and their three children soaked up the sunset and enjoyed some pool time. 

Joanna uploaded an adorable picture of their three young children: Boston, Bridie and Blainey, sitting on a beach towel while the sun set on the horizon.

On her Instagram Stories, the beauty wore a chic one-piece and bucket hat as she played with her children on the sand.

In another image, George is seen playfully throwing his son in the air, with the caption: ‘Higher daddy higher’.

She also shared a picture of her posing with son Boston while wearing a stunning flower in her hair.

This comes after Joanna marked their one-year anniversary of calling England home.

Taking to Instagram, the socialite shared a sweet throwback photo of herself and George with their children at Carr Hall Castle in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

‘A little England trial two years ago. I didn’t have a clue I was pregnant with Blainey… I thought it was jet lag that didn’t wear off for the three weeks,’ she wrote.

She added: ‘I can’t believe it’s coming up one year since the five of us moved here.’

George is part of the Burgess family of rugby league players who moved to Australia from the north of England. His brothers are Sam, 31, Tom, 28, and Luke, 33.
