Gigi Hadid shows off new brunette ‘do as she and boyfriend Zayn Malik await their baby girl’s birth

Gigi Hadid is going back to her roots as she awaits the arrival of her first child.

The 25-year-old model appeared to have ditched her blonde highlights, showing off lovely brunette locks in a new selfie. 

Gigi had her natural tresses styled into a high ponytail which cascaded down from her crown in soft waves. 

The last time Gigi shared a selfie was in mid-July, where she was seen sporting a sandy, dark blonde with golden highlights while addressing her Instagram followers from her mom’s Pennsylvania farm.

It was unclear whether Hadid got a new dye job or if she had simply grown out her locks.

Many pregnant women avoid coloring their hair while expecting, although doctors say bleaching and/or dying presents no risk to moms or babies.

Gigi’s hair wasn’t the only thing that looked different.

She played up her already stunning eyes with a special filter that added a hint of blue to her peepers.

The filter also peppered the frame with tiny sparkles and amped up the peachy glow on her cheeks.

Gigi was in summer duds, sporting a seersucker shirt over a ribbed tank top.  Dressing things up a bit, she added a layered necklace and her usual pair of tight hoop earrings.

Gigi’s little sister Bella is said to be ‘counting down the days until she becomes an aunt,’ according to Life & Style.

The girls ‘can’t wait to see what the baby looks like’ and have been comparing baby pictures and making predictions.

‘[Bella] and Gigi recently went through all their old baby photos, and some of Zayn’s too, trying to figure it out! Bella knows she’ll be absolutely stunning.’

Gigi confirmed she was expecting during an April 30 interview with Jimmy Fallon, telling The Tonight Show host, ‘Obviously, we wish they could’ve announced it on our own terms, but we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well-wishes and support.’
