Cheating grandmother, 44, who ran off with her daughter’s boyfriend, 29, ‘met him just a few weeks after renewing her marriage vows with husband of 10 years’

A grandmother who ran off with her pregnant daughter’s boyfriend renewed her marriage vows to her husband just weeks before meeting her new lover for the first time.
Georgina Aldridge, 44, was married to 56-year-old Eric for ten years before she met Ryan Shelton for the first time.
Mr Shelton, 29, had been involved in a relationship with Mrs Aldridge’s 24-year-old daughter Jess.

When Jess first confronted her mum over the fling with her boyfriend, she shrugged and said: ‘We can’t help who we fall in love with.’
The couple had moved in with Mrs Aldridge and her husband Eric to become a Covid-19 bubble at their home in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire when the affair started.
According to The Sun, Mrs Aldridge sent her daughter a series of text messages outlining the beginning of her new relationship with her grandchild’s father.
Mrs Aldridge wrote: ‘If you want the truth Ryan has been trying for three years and I gave in the last six months.
‘He shows me [your texts] every day and tells me everything.
‘We are so close you wouldn’t even know. I know the ins and outs of him daily.’
Commenting on her mother’s betrayal, Jess Aldridge said: ‘It’s a horrible thing mum has done. Ryan has cheated on me at least three times before. It’s hilarious that they think they’ve got this strong relationship. She’s welcome to him.’

Mr Shelton, when approached by MailOnline about his relationship with his child’s grandmother, said: ‘I don’t care what everyone thinks, I am in love with Georgina and I don’t care who knows about it.
‘Other people’s opinions don’t bother me at all. I know what’s happened.
‘There are two sides to every story and I know the truth behind all this. Not everyone will like what’s happened but it’s none of their business.’
Emma Aldridge, Ms Aldridge’s sister said: ‘Dad is grieving. He’s not dealing with it at all well. We all feel completely betrayed by mum, especially my dad.
‘She’s always been his rock and he isn’t coping well without her. I’m really worried about him.

Ryan has defended the relationship, saying that he is in love with Georgina and he wants the world to know
‘I’m disgusted by what mum has done. It’s pulling the whole family apart. How could she do this? She’s betrayed us.’
A family friend told MailOnline that Georgina’s husband, Eric, is ‘devastated’, having only renewed their marriage vows two years ago ‘to show their continued commitment to each other’.
They said that recently Georgina had taken more of an interest in her appearance, wearing short skirts and low-cut tops.
‘Georgina must have lost her mind,’ they added. ‘I think she’s been flattered by the attention of Ryan, who is a fairly attractive young man, and she’s let herself be swept off her feet.
‘I’m not in the least bit surprised by Ryan splitting up the family, though.’
She added: ‘Poor Jess at that time had no idea. She must be hurting like hell.’
