Like the rest of us, Guy Sebastian and his family have had to find interesting ways to entertain themselves during lockdown.

And on Thursday, the 38-year-old Australian singer, who has amassed more than 1.7million likes on TikTok, revealed why he decided to get join the popular app.

‘I just really enjoyed making the videos,’ he told Daily Mail Australia.

‘I think it’s such a fun platform and [my wife] Jules kind of led the charge on that. She was the first in the family to jump on TikTok,’ he continued. 

‘I was skeptical at the start. I didn’t know if this thing is going to last for forever. But when I got involved, I was like, “Oh my gosh. This is such a fun platform”. 

The former X Factor judge continued: ‘The thing I love about it the most is how positive it is, and that’s why it’s taken off so much during this time.’ 

‘Everyone is smiling on there, everyone is happy,’ he added.

‘It’s not about being too cool for school, but I need to get my dancing better before I start doing a lot of the TikTok dances,’ he laughed.

Since joining the video sharing platform, Guy and his wife Jules have shared several clips of them dancing to viral videos, alongside sons Hudson, eight, and Archer, five.

The singer also treated fans to an exclusive first look at his newly released album, T.R.U.T.H.

Back in May, Jules admitted that she initially thought she was ‘too old’ for the popular app before getting addicted.

‘I’ll be the first to admit when I heard about TikTok I immediately deemed myself too old for the channel,’ she wrote.

‘But, within the blink of an eye I am self nominating for all these crazy challenges and having so much FUN with the family. TikTok is definitely a thing and I’m here for it.’
