Henry Cavill addresses speculation about his life on Instagram and posts selfie with Natalie Viscuso

Henry Cavill has addressed the speculation around his life, telling fans in a lengthy Instagram post that their ‘passion is misplaced’.

The Witcher actor, 38, took to social media on Saturday to share his thoughts and ask followers to be ‘happy with him’ as he’s ‘very happy in love, and in life’.

Alongside his impassioned note, Henry posted a cosy snap with his girlfriend Natalie Viscuso, 31, which saw them both smiling as they donned matching flat caps. 

Henry appeared to be in good spirits in the snap, with one arm wrapped around the Hollywood exec as they both beamed a grin for the camera.

The blonde beauty also radiated happiness as she posed with her beau in chic glasses and a black jacket as well as the coordinating headwear.   

Addressing the ‘speculation’ around their relationship, Henry penned: ‘Dear fans and followers, I wanted to make a wee community announcement. 

‘I couldn’t help but notice that there has been some social animosity of late. It’s becoming increasingly prevalent on my feed. There has been lots of, let’s call it speculation for now, about my private life and professional partnerships. 

‘Now, while I do appreciate the passion and support by those very people who are “speculating”, It has come to such a point that I needed to say something, which in itself, is a bad thing.’

The actor then continued: ‘We are living in an age of social enlightenment. More and more, people are realising that their views may have been blinkered and that they need to expand them to encompass others.

‘So, to you out there who are expressing your disdain and showing your displeasure through a surprising variety of ways, it’s time to stop.

‘I know it can be fun to speculate, to gossip, and to dive into our own personal echo chambers on the internet, but your “passion” is misplaced, and it causes harm to the people I care about most. 

‘Even your most conservative of negative assumptions about both my personal and professional life just aren’t true. Let’s embrace this age of social enlightenment together, and move forward with positivity. 

‘I am very happy in love, and in life. I’d be enormously grateful if you were happy with me. If you can’t bring yourself to be happy with me, then at the very least try to do yourself proud and be the best version of yourself.’ 

The thought provoking post comes after Henry made it Instagram official with new love Natalie in April, who he was spotted holding hands with the week before.

Posting a snap of them playing chess, he wrote: ‘This is me looking quietly confident shortly before my beautiful and brilliant love Natalie, destroys me at chess.’

Natalie, 31, also posted the photo to her own Instagram. Her caption read: ‘Just teaching my dear Henry how to play some chess…or…maybe he let me win?’

The new couple were seen looking loved-up as they walked Cavill’s dog in the British capital on April 7. 

Natalie is the vice president of television and digital studios at Legendary Entertainment.  

It’s one of the production companies behind Henry’s movies Man of Steel (2013) and Enola Holmes (2020).

Back in 2005, she had been featured on season one of the MTV reality show My Super Sweet 16. 

The episode revealed that she had recently moved from Roswell, New Mexico, to San Diego, in Southern California, where she lived with her family in a $5m mansion.  

The Justice League star has dated a number of famous women including The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco in 2013 and stunt double Lucy Cork from 2017 to 2018.

He has also had relationships with Tara King (2015 – 2016), Marisa Gonzalo (2014 – 2015) and Gina Carano (2012 – 2014).

Before that, he had been engaged to professional show jumper Ellen Whitaker but they split in 2011, shortly after the proposal.
